I that WGT doesn't divulge the requirements to advance to the next tier but I was wondering if any of you had any idea what is required to move from master to tour master. Right now my average is 63.28 with a low score of 29 on a 9 hole round and 63 on an 18 hole round.. I know I have more than enough rounds in as a master. I made master in June. Maybe it has something to do with not playing enough 18 hole rounds. Just curious. And wanting to move up. I had an idea that a sub 30 9 hole round would do it but I just shot my first 29 in a 9 hole round and that didn't do it.

Don't quote me on it, but I thought I heard only t'other day that you need to get to 63 average.  A few more good rounds should do it if that's the case.

That should have done it, Sting'. Can't really recall my exact avg, but I'm thinking it was right in line to your scenario. I have a couple friends who are in the same situation, and are asking the same thing. I do recall I was in the RG trough 90% of my playing time. Whether that has any bearing, who knows.  Go figure

Don't quite understand why WGT is mute on the requirements for advancement.

edit.....Ladies & Gentlemen golfers, let it be known "born-to-be-sting" has been awarded the status as Tour Master,  congratulations...;)

    In a word-sandbagging.

It depends on more than just the average. More particularly, it depends on how you stack up against your peer group. WGT indicated they would do this when the new tiers were introduced. Ranked rounds, levels, earnings (maybe), tournament standing, type of courses played and stuff like that were also supposed to have an impact.

One example I can think of to look at is TDHarvey. He was a TM at the change, went and kicked rear in the RGs for a while to the tune of something like 7000 credits and was bumped to the Legend tier. I assumed not because of the $ but that he was on the cusp at the change and caught a break for a while, not to mention the fact that he can shoot well. He was starting to dominate his TM peer group. I believe he said his average dipped under 62 when it happened.
