    Alan, ain't it the truth...later last night things got a little better.  I rebooted and was actually able to finish a round with no disconnects.

    This might be the optimum business model for the 21st century...have customers set their expectations so low that they're ecstatic when things actually work.

    p.s. Logged in this morning to find something very nice from a great friend, thanks!

    Are you paying attention to the memory bug where memory isn't getting returned to the game for use? Peep your task manager and look at the performance tab. Check out how much free memory you have and watch what happens to it as you play multiple games. Note at the same time how the game starts to deteriorate.

    A couple of minor things you can do that may make a difference is to reboot your modem-disconnect power to it for 10 seconds. Powering back up forces your ISP to get a new IP address. The problems you laid out are loading problems-WGT's or any of the servers in between you and them.

    Secondly, close the browser after a game or 2. This grabs that lost memory back. It might not make things perfect but you never know. Proactive doesn't hurt.  :-)

    If you want to see what's going on with your Flash window, download this util, follow the instructions.

    WS Monitor

    It shows real time memory usage. Just make sure you're using the same Flash version in both windows if you use a different browser to monitor and play in. I find it works better if you use the same browser.

    Also, make sure you don't have other Flash assets running, close other browser windows other than the game client.

    From what I've seen, the memory issues people are seeing having is an Adobe issue vs browser/s. It's not specifically a WGT issue with the game. I myself don't get any of the memory problem and I've left the client window open all night with a game running, come back in the morning started playing again with no problems and the monitor is showing maybe around 300mb max usage.

    I'm certainly no WGT cheerleader but creating memory leaks in AS is actually pretty tough to do, you have to be pretty brain-dead to cause them, to the extent people are seeing here.

    Asset loading issues are a different matter and don't have anything to do with memory leaks, this is a problem I know WGT has in abundance just by the nature of the way the game is developed.

    This is what I get on WS after 4 hours or so, game play is smooth with a max client window on a T-61 laptop.

    And I do as Jim says, close the browser after every game....seems to work (one of those work-arounds lol), but interesting from Dedbunny, I might look at that, although seems complicated for my little mind.

    It's not the same as total system memory usage you get from task manager, it's only picking up what Flash is using. Just if that wasn't clear.

    It's not hard to use, just open game in browser you use, go into the deploy folder, depending on your system config, the .js might not work, point the swf file at your game browser. It doesn't look at itself as far as monitoring, just other running assets.

    Thanks to all for the advice, much appreciated.

    I guess my point is that we users shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get smooth and consistent game play...but if that's what it takes, so be it.
