By my understanding you need an average of 61 as a tourmaster to get promoted to legend.

I have been playing now for about 16 months and I can remember just 1 day that I had a better average as a master in the old system.

But they kicked my ass right in the legendsection and i think its still quite an accomplishment to get that low.

So, wouldn't it be far more logical to get back to the old promotionlevel of 65 to turn a tier higher after where you can start again with building your average?

I once had an average, in the good old days, in the 61 range...surely the reason I was placed in the Legends tier after "The Change".

There also appears to be a noticeable spike in averages after a player moves up.  And although WGT says a poor round does not affect our average, in my case, I've been stuck at the same number after posting much better scores.  That being the case, I can only surmise that frequency of play, an area where I am sorely lacking, is just as important as low scores.  Therefore, in lower tiers, I suspect the exact number required to convert is hard to define today.

Cove I have to say I disagree... no matter what your average is as a tm the transition is hard one (my avg has gone from 60.9 to what it is now in the space of 24hrs). Even if they make it 58 or 65 the will be no difference. To score good from these tees requires a lot of practice for everybody except the absolute best... who probably find it a minor annoyance...

I see a lot a TM's with lower than 65 average and legends with higher than 65 and both cannot progress very much under the new rules.

I simply have a problem with the fact that this is a very common thing on wgt, the world is turned around here.

If a tourmaster gets below 65 and becomes a legend, he starts over with the average count. When he tries to keep his average up, what we call sandbagging, he has to be carefull in the games he plays, especially for example the ready-go's. In other words, sandbagging has no use anymore.

Or do I see this wrongly?

Make it 65 and that automatically moves half of the tour master population to legends all that would lead to is more people not enjoying the game. There is no way you can sandbag the current average system and I think it is fine how it is.Yes it takes time but for those how score well in ready goes advancing to legend tier is inevitable.
