When you remove the flagstick, does it actually remove the flagstick? Or is it just a visual thing?

I hate hitting the flagstick with a great shot and having it careen off the green.

    Hi DynastyGolf0,

Yes, when you remove the flag stick, it actually removes the flagstick. The only time that it will not remove the flag stick is after to take a shot.

    Thanks for the reply!

So I can't hit the shot and then remove it, I guess (which is what I've been doing). Gotta remove it before the shot.

The videos that everyone has been waiting for. Yancy gets to the truth, as is so often the case:

I generally remove before, and put it back while the ball is in the air, just so I can see how it behaves after (hopefully) hitting the green. It's still removed for the shot but visible.

It is a strange, smart, somewhat pompous regiment to embrace in habit. The pin effect has, in truth, evolved (changed) over the 6+ years I have been here. Changes that have developed into the exotic, at times. Heck, I have even saved 2 or 3 replay foul-ups as reminders that "no flag" is the best choice 95% to 100% of the time. To hit a few flag-sticks and produce an OB/ lost ball result are excellent eye-openers.
