How freaking lame. 10,000 free credits? Really? That's the best you can do? Way to go all out and spare no expense to celebrate this momentous milestone. WGT has embarassed themselves with this promotion.

Do you understand how much 10,000 cred. is??? It is 100$. What do you want? The friggin lottery... IMO they shouldn't hand anything out at all this is very generous. I hate non-appreciative people!!!

hard to believe that some folks are attacking WGT for handing over 10,000 credits. they don't actually have to hand over a dime.

i think it's a fantastic gesture of goodwill to mark the occasion.

    all the best

I'm sure you hate lots of people Mr. Punctuation!!! Maybe you should see someone about all that rage you have bottled up inside???

You are impressed by the fact that it's value is 100 dollars, but what does it cost WGT? Nothing! What is it worth outside of WGT? Nothing! What can you do with it other than give it right back to WGT? Nothing! Very generous? If you say so.

That being said, I'm happy for WGT reaching this milestone. I'm a fan of their product I just think their promotion is lame. I hope you win it. Your loyalty to WGT deseerves to be rewarded.

Don't you understand? WGT is still in its infancy as a company and from what I hear they are still running in the red. It may take years for them to really start to make money. Why do you think they added the new ads in between the holes? Because they need the revenue to stay afloat. In the past year another web site that had major sponsorships from large companies such as Coca-cola  folded because they just couldn't make enough money to stay afloat. And they had almost as many members as WGT if not more. That site was the web community There. So yes it is quite a goodwill gesture to offer $100 for this promotion. As stencil said they did not have to offer anything.

How about $1000.00 or maybe $100,000.00 to shut the whiners up. Probably wouldn't be enough. Never happy, no matter what WGT does. I know,we'll send you a check for $1.00 cash money will that help. NO,  well lets see maybe some free tuorialals from Yancyman.  LMAO!!!!

Even moreso, you can outfit yourself with the top of the line stuff, levels factored in, and then have a ton of credits left over to do what with? They pretty much guaranteed someone a free ride here for a long time and lost a $ spender.

I'm sure they're all high fiving themselves at WGT-good for them.  :-)

Having been in the online business and commerce game for around 10 years now I'm wise enough to understand that regardless of how many thousands of members are on WGT....that doesn't mean to say that WGT are raking in the cash...even with the advertising etc.

They'll have quite a huge outlay with regards to running costs. High end servers, premium bandwith and tech support is not cheap...then all the great design work using most likely highly talented but very expensive web designers....then there is most likely a team of staff employed to run things too unless anyone thinks this is a one man band.

WGT will stand more of a chance improving and getting better as a game if folks get behind WGT instead of fighting against them.

I hope no one involved in running WGT is reading this thread because quite frankly I'm embarrassed that people here think the 10,000 credits is a poor offering. The game is free to play....it don't get any better than that I'm thinking.

I commend WGT for their great gesture.

Personally speaking, I'd much rather have seen them get that stuttering feckjob of a meter fixed......but alas.

Read the news this morning to discover the 10k credits was won by a 4 ball.

WGT gave all of the players in the 4 ball 10k each, very nice of them.
