When they introduced the new Champions tier I had 1340 ranked rounds as a TL and stood at 3187 RR.I am now at 3404 ranked rounds or 217 more which works out to 17 more then the 200 xtra rounds required but am still playing as a TL.I have sent 2 emails to WGT and no answers yet .

    What gives

Could there be any Par 5's and/or Par 3's included in the final 217 rounds?

You need at least 200 ranked rounds as TL to move to Champion you also need your average to meet the requirements for the new tier. We do not release this information, but judging by when other players reported to move into Champ tier, it seems like it's about 56. (I'm not even told the requirements). Best of courses do not count as ranked rounds. Keep to single player ranked rounds and multiplayer tournaments.

Don't you mean best of par 3 and 5's don't count for average?

Best of Par 4's, hardest and famous do count towards average, don't they?

Twas my understanding (as per PT).

Seem to remember people reporting 59 being enough as well (e.g. one less than TL), and of course any tees any easy conditions are just fine.

It's not 56.  I was 58 (point something)  when I got promoted after completing the required amount of R/Rounds (not sure how many I played though)

Edit ... Congrats to the OP for the Promotion :)

Is this deliberate misinformation, or what else should we think?

59.000 is the latest number in talk.

On the contrary: All "Best of" stroke play courses allow for ranked rounds, even BO3, BO5, BDU, while BOF, BO4, BOH have been counting to the average ever since they were introduced.

    multiplayer tournaments

Non-existant. Such wishes have been declined by WGT multiple times.

    56!!! Is a joke?

I reached the tier champion with an average of 58.91, only two months as Tour Legend, soon you need to do two new tiers or more, because the champion tier will be saturated of players again, not that they reach the level playing well ( not all obviously ), it is to play a lot.
