You're aware that we (the Georgian) mainly use the Clash as an in-house competition right?

I couldn't give a stuff about the golden putter, I'm after the 2k, 3k and 5k credit rewards in our 3 in house divisions based on tier. Not to mention the sleeves of balls and passes.

Don't get me wrong, we like to be winning the whole thing and get the putter to give to someone in the club, but I thought I'd just give you a slight insight as to why we have always have a high turn out of participants.

However, in the meantime... have you seen the pace that the Madrid have started at?! That's probably faster than we've ever had and we have some complete nutters in our club who play relentlessly.

Same crap competition, different day.  I guess they are looking to get maximum XMas bonus' this year at WGT Towers.

But to score as many points as you do, and only 12 super passes, your members are buying passes to play... so your club  has fallen into WGT's money pit. You could make an in house competition without the clashes.

But based on history, we know the marketing department is a sandwich short of a picnic.

A sandwich and also the picnic basket to carry it in. The basket will be used to store all the revenue from pass and ball sales between rounds.

A meaningful comp where some type of quality of play is involved would be a breath of fresh air, with more overall participation IMHO. For some reason this suggestion has fallen on deaf ears. I'm afraid all the money generated by a few zealots, has created the " Helen Keller affect" at WGT hdgtrs.

Put it in to perspective, if i spend 250 credits on passes (which I'm not by the way) but win our in-house competition of 5000 credits how am I not winning overall?

And we do have other in-house competitions, we have our Georgian Handicap Open starting next week. Loads of prizes to be won.

We have a lot of generous members who donate gifts to other players so we can pool the money together and create prizes. Suppose you could look at it like a pyramid scheme. Yes WGT wins in the end because we do buy stuff from them, but its a game and its a choice and a choice we're happy to make.

Such a shame that your CC management does not put its sponsorship into CC comps rather than the Clash.  The playing members  would benefit by more xps per round and it would not cost them a thing.

Keep smiling and wish you all the best in the latest Clash!

Why on a weekday, not a weekend?

Plus, they seem to be happening too frequently. Once every two weeks or something?

Thanks for captioning most of my post Sue, but if you could caption the middle part which talks about our GEORGIAN HANDICAP OPEN WHICH STARTS NEXT WEEK, then that would probably negate your comment about its being a shame our CC doesn't put sponsorship in to CC comps. We actually have a lot of Free, Sweetened pots and premium tournaments, we just use the Clash as another good opportunity to add something different during a fundamentally flawed set up.

The playing members do benefit, exceptionally well I should add.

I open  a thread for the same country club even before this one (well sue, maybe if you look better you will be a winner too...) and no answers

I just want to delete mine  but don't know how to delete a topic ?

I do apologise for stealing your thunder.... I did check before posting   ;-)

    LOL

Had to check the date as thought must be an old thread :)

This farcical zero skill crap will persist as long as people buy passes to "WIN" ......I have no understanding whatsoever of a CC who treats it as a side show for an internal comp.  Their business entirely but I do agree a complete waste of credits, IMO, for what requires zero skill upfront - and you win a frog?  OK internally in that CC you win 9 sleeves of L81s for staying up the longest clicking as a generous donator likes to see that - pass even if i got gifted the balls.  i guess someone might say internally it's based on skill, and if so why not donate to charity?  All Ok whichever way as internal business............Whatever the clash remains super stupid as a concept.

Desperate times for WGT to penny grab this way, and when they can't even persuade a mod to announce the rubbish...............hmmm..may they who buy the most passes win each "clash" same as ever, and so no wonder good players generally treat it as a silly joke......Could not write this crap, but someone did and grubs a cheap dollar or two out of it I guess, namely New Ideas:).
