Hi there everyone. First time poster lol

I've just hit level 47 (pro tier) and I've been waiting to buy the 2010 Rapture V2 9.5°. It should handle the pro distances quite well. But should I go for something bigger as my round average of about 70.9 should be going up a level soon (and hence distances)?

I'm not putting heaps of money into this so I only want one driver. I guess my main question is will the 2010 Rapture V2 9.5° handle master level distances or should I wait for a bigger club to become available?

Side questions: What score average do you need to go up to TOUR PRO and are the distances the same between PRO and TOUR PRO?

    Thanks for your help :)

not a bad choice at your current level.....after that I would wait till lvl 58 for the G10 driver, if the meter scares you, try the G13D or S ball

The 2010 Rapture V2 9.5 driver at L47 is a great club from the Pro tee. But, at 255 yds. it will come up short from the Master tee. When you make the Master tier you'll need one of the 270 yd. drivers.

If you only want one driver you should wait until L58 for the Ping G10 8.0 (270 yds.) or L62 for the TaylorMade R9 TP 8.5 (275 yds.).

Right now, it looks like the Pro to Tour Pro line is 71.

    Stevo,

As you don't want to spend a lot you would be wise to wait a while and get your levels up so that you can get the Lvl 62 R9 Driver.

Buying the Rapture now would help your game now but in no time you would advance in tiers and outgrow the driver.

Pro and Tour Pro distances are the same if I remember right.

    Good luck!

    Thanks everyone for the advice.

Knowing that Tour pro distances are the same as pro means i will ignore the level 47 driver as i can jump another tier and still not be disadvantaged. might post again when I get to level 59 and consult whether i should wait for the level 62 or get the level 59 lol!

    Cheers again, stevo

the tour pro driver is a bargain at about a third of the rapture price, sure it doesn't stack up in each category, but the distances are the same.  A 250 length driver should work fine for pro and pro tour level, but as others mentioned, a 270 driver is much better for master level.  It makes sense to buy the cheaper club now because you will not keep it past the pro tour tier.  The tour pro driver does have a fast meter which messed me up a lot at first; then I learned to aim everything way left and eventually adapted to the speed.  Now I cannot hit anything with a slow meter straight, gotta get a new 3w.
