  That's ok I agree, Jim, the basic test was to address the OP: 

  Hit a putt at 18 power on a tourny 12 flat green. 

  The number I was most concerned with was the 'distance traveled' and on this specific green, in this instance, it did go approx 24 ft sometimes more. (there were other examples I did not record)

  Interesting things to note are wind factors and ding or not ding. In the example there was an off ding and even so the putt roll 24 feet.

  I've added a nuances and glitches playlist to my Youtube offerings which might help settle the confusion in this thread.

  In this playlist you can see a putt elevation vid which demonstrates how a display of 0 elevation actually means 1 inch uphill. As the elevation is rounded to the nearest inch, a putt showing 0 could actually be close to 1.5 inches uphill. Because of this I would expect the OPs 2nd mentioned putt to usually come up short (my own calculation would say 13ft on tourney 12 greens showing 0 elevation would need at least 10.5ft of power).

  Another vid in this playlist shows how it is possible to have one scale displayed while the game has not registered this and thinks the previous scale is still selected. The same glitch can cause you to hit a different club than the one you think you have selected. This glitch can occur when flicking between clubs very quickly, such that the display changes but the game doesn't register it. It most often happens when using the scroll wheel, which is why WGT blames it on this. But this is not the case, as it can happen using fast mouse navigation too. This would explain the first putt the OP mentions.

  Happens to me if I don't keep my wits about me*, using a touchpad.

  I personally putt by feel, but we all have have our own methods. Thank God i don't need to pull out a calculator to do the calculus, talk about a headache inducing  modus operandi lol.
