I've been playing this game a while now, and with any wedge 105 yard downwards i'm v. accurate, whatever the wind speed, and by now know how much power to give for different winds. But what annoyed me playing a ready go earlier is that i had 3 different shots with 11 mph headwind, a 70 yarder, 62 yarder and a 52 yarder. All three of those shots came up 5 yards short each time. It was like the wind speed had doubled to 22 mph. Because as a rule you usually have to add 5 yards per 10 mph with wedges and its usually bang on.
But what's the point in working out yardage of shots if the wind is going to double from what it's actually showing. And please dont put it down to "deviation" because all round i had shots like a 13 mph sidewind blowing ball double what it should have, even after hitting ding, and a dinged iron off a par 3 going severly left with headwind, and to top it off i don't know how many times i heard the dreaded click of a miss hit even after hitting ding! I could go on and on, more than 50% of my shots where "deviation" funny shots. I've had more in a 18 hole round than i usually do all week!
The odd deviation i don't mind, but every other shot? How are you ment to play when that happens?
Right, had to get that moan off my chest, on to another round..........
