    Hello WGT members,

Update to inquiry. Thanks to all the advice. I've been contemplating the suggested RSi2's. Decision made. Treating myself to them for the holiday's.

I've visited the pro shop and compared some iron sets. Looking to upgrade to a set that has good spin. I have some in mind but would appreciate personal experiences.

Mainly looking for clubs that have decent enough spin to slow or stop ball from rolling 100 miles after hitting green. I'm also currently testing balls with good spin attributes. Using the MAX spin wedges and love them. Maybe an iron set comparable to the wedges.

    Thanks for any input.

    Easiest answer is:

Go for "high tragectory irons" - the only thing that would count for me, eventually!

I agree with Solarflares on the RSI2 irons. I have them right now and might not ever upgrade them. They are that good.

Thank you Solarflares. I've been eyeballing the RSi2's. Treating myself to them for Christmas.

"Mainly looking for clubs that have decent enough spin to slow or stop ball from rolling 100 miles after hitting green..."

...ok, a radical idea I been testing. I use my driver to tee off, then use my sand wedge for every shot afterwards...now, I will admit it takes a while to actually get to the green, but stopping power?.....whoooaaaahhhh

...as an added bonus, I only need to carry driver, wedge and putter...makes the bag a lot lighter...:)

You have 3 options all are high trajectory :

    #1. L79+ RocketBladez - 2595 c

    #2.L85+ Nike - 3000 c

    #3 L90+ RSi2 - 3495 c

Now the question is how much do you want to spin ? Also keep in mind that there are no other irons until L97+ Nike irons . The 79+ Bladez will play very well from the tips as long as you have a good driver and 3 wood to back them up . For where you are they are all the club you will need but the final say so is all yours . It all comes down to how much do you want to spend  Good luck  :-)

Looking ahead when purchasing any equipment is the best overall advice...the higher your rank, the longer you will take to each level so look ahead and id advize the best irons you can get,,also, when pairing with balls add the spin of the iron plus the ball...my best luck has been a total of 6 to 6.5 spin total and also you can add the speeds up to your liking as well.
