Another ball lost today for no other reason than WGT deciding to send a dinged shot off right in about a 120 degree angle and straight out of bounds. Bad enough when i do it myself but when the game penalises me for hitting a good shot that is very unfair and also undermines the point of having the shot sweet spot(DING). I know by playing with others that i am not the only one it is happening to, sort it out please.

Be aware that this kind of thing can happen.

    hi

that has happened to me a few times :(. also. if your shot wasnt a tee shot, then depending on lie/angle, it may go sideways too. there are some spots on every course where it can happen.

Interesting video Scott, thx for sharing and sorry for taking so long to respond, still getting used to forum stuff and had actually forgotten about this post. Whilst i agree that on occasion we all do something that we dont notice that affects our shot. However, with the 16th at Merion i have had this happen with 80% of my second shots no matter the lie, wind etc. My main gripe is on the gameplay......WGT in their Game Instructions go as far as to say for the perfect shot you have to hit the ding....then contradict it by having this *shot, bug or whatever the hell you wanna call it* in the game. But what do we expect from a game that constantly loses you club yardage with a strong wind behind and gains with it against as well as al the other guff that goes on. bottom line as well know is the game is geared to get us hooked, mess us around and pressure us into getting new clubs atc and also take balls from us to keep the $ rolling in. And yes i do like to vent from time to time, i have payed money for certain things and i am entitled to lol

Can i buy some of those? lol. I left the game for a long time, and recently decided to come back and play a bit more regular, just to see if things had changed. I got a few decent rounds in, and was starting to get the old vibe back, and then this happens.

Its the week 50 18 hole single play on Whistler. I was -4 after 4 holes, and then i got to this shot. 194 yrds to the hole with a 4-6mph wind heading at 5 o clock. I whipped out my 5 iron with 195 yrds distance, and dropped the power a tad more than 10mm on the power bar to compensate for the 40ft drop to the hole. Full backspin. My guess is that 10mm or so is more than enough to take 10 yrds off the distance of the shot? Result:

Guess i wont be making that comeback after all. Just use up what i have, and then wash an go. Might even use up my credits for some of those towels.

Was happy to see your name on WGT again Jimmy. I really hope you give it a go for a bit, still looking forward to getting a round in with you mate.
