Prize on offer: I'll give a sleeve of choice to the first three players to post sub-par round for Pebble Beach f9 with full Starter gear. (Must produce club-proof screenshots/video as per Tough-It-Out tourneys). This is the antidote to everyone feeling that Pebble Beach so far is too easy, lol!

Nice one Corwyn. It's a good challenge, and it cheered me up after a truly dreadful morning's play!!!

-7 on first look. Seemed pretty easy with both par 5s reachable in 2 even in headwind. Plenty of space behind the tees so hopefully they will get moved back a bit on final release.

I think not.

WGT's courses are counterfeits of the US Open courses (1), so is PB. WGT's scorecard shows only the slightest differences to this official scorecard, and they can't extend the fairways by a tens of yards because we see real photographs, you remember?

(1) one or two flaws notwithstanding.

Yes, it's easy. Either it's the nature of the course in combination with our powerful clubs, or it's an approach to a "mobile-ready" course, as one of my CC mates imagined.

I still like it, and I LOVE the views!

Pebble Beach is just gorgeous! Can't wait to play this with Uneven Lies (#9 will be a doozy!).

Thought folks might like to see this sneaky attempt on #9 to hit a 200 yard LW pitch up close to the green with Starters ... it came real close to judging the contours perfectly, but got snagged in a bit of rough while making the tricky right-hand turn. Still turned out to get 147yards out of a 14 yard rated shot: not bad!

I was actually expecting the shot to run out of time with the 30-second rule, but it didn't seem to take effect. Has that been removed now?

Edit: Hmmm... now I watch the replay after the fact, and for me it freezes at 67 yds. Strange... the original replay clearly kept going 45+ seconds and 147 yards to the cart-path junction.

Into the wind, I couldn't reach the fairway, so tried to land on the tiny front tee instead. Missed it a few yards left and then decided to explore the cart-path route :)

2nd attempt in..Clubs shot from 9th tee.. 1st one was +1 with lipouts on last 3 holes..

App on #1 on 2nd go also lipped out to 2 ft! Notable par save on #5 from 50-60 brush short of green

I played up to #8 and knocked some balls towards the fairway off the green then tried low running pitch shots, its totally unbelievable what you'll see, one ball stopped and started 3 times on its way to the hole, one hit a wall and yo-yo'd backwards, one looked like a boomerang. If your anywhere short you better throw a dart at the hole, seems all the problems are short....so don't be!

BTW, I've had more lipouts in 3 rounds at PB than I've had in a month!

Nicely done Mags! I should have known you'd be the first. Too easy a challenge for you... and yes, amateur, he was using Starters!

Hi Razza,

You'll have to keep trying to get your sleeve, I'm afraid. If you've followed the TIO threads right now (eg. this entry from Tess), you'll know that the kind of Equipment Profile screenshot you've offered here has no provable connection to the round shown in the scorecard. I can tell from the background that it's Pebble, and this is the only way to play Pebble right now, but it doesn't prove that the score you shot was with those clubs. I hope you can see that :(

Sorry! ... but I've no doubt you can get there soon enough, hearing about all those lip-outs.
