Please can we a have consistant wind!

  I played a 75 yard wedge (with legend balls) with 15 mph tailwind, ball only went 75 yards!, it was on green, no craters or anything like that. and a 145 yard iron with 17 mph tailwind went 142 yards (on flat fairway), and 105 yard wedge going 85 yards with 10 mph sidewind.  This kind of problem is consistant, so is the wind speed aprox i.e 5 mph either way, so if its 15, it could be 10 or maybe 20 depending on how it feels that particular shot?

  Or is this kind of problem just a Ready Go thing? Because i've played them so often now i can tell after a few holes how much "deviation" or bum shots you're likely to get in a round. Like 5 feet putts on a flat green going left, or opposite to slope direction, to name a few.

  What happened to the skill based golf simulator?

  While i'm on cosistancy subject, i played a challenge match against a legend yesterday, at Oakmont. I was 3-0 due to inconsistancies by the 4th. like ball going right on a right to left green, a full hit 17 yard chip shot on a flat green going 9 yards, and shots overhitting and underhitting due to unanounced wind speed. I ended up withdrawing after consent off my opponent because he could see it was strange 3 foot putts swerving wide, and it was frustrating me.  In the re-match we were both playing no different to first match, but i had no inconsistancies and won 4-0.  It was like the bum shots i was getting first match changed opponents.  we were shocked in the difference in play between the 2 rounds.

  Strange, or what?

  But on the + side, playing ready go in oakmont, didn't matter how much i messed up shot (slice etc) everything was going right, like a eagle on 4th and on par 3, 6th i messed up swing, ball flying to bunker, but it hit rim then flew in different direction 9 ins from a hole in 1!. I'm - 5 at the 6 th (only 12 to go!, hope i havn't jinxed round).So again, you probably are going to get a good round, or a bad round, whatever!!   This is what keeps us addicted!

  Or pi@@ed off in my case, -6 for front 9, back 9, nothing was consistant, wind blowing stronger than shown, rough not affecting ball i.e 62 yard punched wedge travelling 64 yards with 10 mph headwind from 30/40% rough, front 9 playing o.k, but back 9? skill gone out the window again.  Is there any hope of maybe 1 consistant round where all hazards, wind is what it ACTUALLY shown????

  So what do i do? front 9 messed up swings, slices were giving me a good score, but dinged drives, and irons would give me unacurate shots, like carrering off course, so maybe its best to just play your worse, because skill and ding gets you nothing!!

  LISTEN TO THIS MAN PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I am going to go bald from yanking so many hairs! It is impossible to guage distance when the wind does not effect the ball accordingly. Wind is wind for cryin out lud1 Have you people not EVER gone outside. Go outside the next time it is windy and throw a ball in there air say about as high as you can and you will easily see it will be affected.

   

  Now hit a golf ball 150 yards and you will certainly notice a difference in distance
