Icon - in the UK that is Fourball, where each player plays his own ball.  Foresomes is the alternate shot format as you already have.  We also have Greensomes which is similar to the alternate shot format, except that all players tee off with their own ball, then the partners of one team decide which of their two balls they wish to continue the hole with and take alternate shots from there, with the one who didn't drive that particular ball taking the 2nd shot.

All that said, you may well have answered what the OP was wanting.

    Yes I see.

We always strive to bring new features and content. but I'll be honest. I do not foresee other alt type 4somes for a bit anyway.

I could have continued and said that, on occasions, I have also played Bloodsomes.  This is similar to Greensomes in that all players drive with their own ball, but then the opponents pick which of the two balls you will play.  Naturally you pick the worst one.  Great game!

Wow, and here I am just playing regular stinking golf and hitting my own ball...I'm so behind the times.

LW - not sure whether this was meant to be a sarcastic comment or whatnot, but no matter.  Just thought I'd share the info.  But if you do ever decide to play it, don't play it with your best friends... you could very quickly fall out!

My most favourite game of golf - Cross Country Golf.  You play a tee shot from one tee... to a green not part of the same hole.  So, you're hitting in all sorts of directions, over trees, water, possibly even greenstaff sheds etc.  You can forget yardage books and yardage markers, it's all about your own judgement, course management, skill and feel.  Can be dangerous and you have to close the whole course for the comp, but if organised correctly it is GREAT fun.

I know what ya saying but it's different. I asked the same questions when we were testing AS.

We are not ruling it out of course, just will take time.
