I'd forgotten how hard Cabo is when you can't throw darts at the flag. 76 for me, thanks in part to a barely missed fairway on #14 leading to a triple bogey.

#1: Driver, layup to 40-something yards, hit the flag with a LW for a tap-in par.
#2: Driver, 3w layup to a bad spot on the right side of the fairway with downhill slope, leave it 20 yards short of the green, up and down for par.
#3: Driver, PW, missed a 15 foot birdie putt.
#4: Driver, layup a little shorter than I wanted, 9i to the back of the green, two putts for par.
#5: Driver, 3w 20 yards short of the green, LW to about 5 feet for par.
#6: 12-14 mph tailwind, so I played 4i out to the front right and had 68 feet from the fringe. And just about holed it.
#7: 16 feet long, but the double-breaker is no problem. Birdie and -1 on the round.
#8: Driver, then misjudged 3w distance into a straight headwind and couldn't quite reach the next fairway. Barely reached the green on my next shot (what is 25-30% hard sand anyway?), and two putts for bogey.
#9: Driver, 3w runs through to the fringe, two putts for par.
#10: Driver, then pushed approach runs long and leaves nearly impossible save. Par putt from 30 feet stops on the edge.
#11: Driver right, 8i long, leaves a putt that's 11 feet and 7 inches downhill. Couldn't get it to drop.
#12: Driver, 3w to 60 yards, wedge runs 30 feet long, two putts for par.
#13: Well struck 3H mysteriously comes up 30 feet short. Two putts for par.
#14: Left to right wind, so I played left edge of the fairway. Huge mistake. At least it stayed out of the water, but that's not much consolation as my rescue attempt from orange sidehill sails well out of bounds. Fourth shot is better but still leaves a strong sidehill lie in the rough. Wedge to 7 feet, but can't make the putt and stagger away with a triple.
#15: Driver, 3w to 65 yards, wedge to 4.2 feet for an easy birdie. Which I push and miss. Four lost strokes in two holes.
#16: Driver, 3w pushed into the rough short of the bunker, LW to 5 feet for par.
#17: Dinged 5i goes 5 yards left, two putts for par.
#18: Driver, 4i to center of the green, two putts for par.
