    Same question , 5 days later !

WGTdbloshoe  , Now that clash event 14 is over , and its the end of the year , Is WGT ever going to show complete stats and overall positions of Country Clubs records  through out all these clashes , whats the plan ?

    " BANK " ?

It would be nice something else besides" COMING SOON " , how soon ? Its been over a year now , lol , What are we continuing to play for ?

    WGTdbloshoe:
This time the top 3 clubs in the event will get the chance to design our new Best of Par 3, Best of Par 4, and Best of Par 5 courses.

Surely that should already be a function made available to cc members wanting to set up a custom events in their country clubs. I'm surprised it's taken so long to implement. The ability to choose a selection of 9 or 18 holes from any course and from any tees. It's not that I don't appreciate this game but the whole "buy as many cc passes as you can in order to win a worthless prize" is selling players short.

With all the balls and equipment being sold, the players deserve a better bang for their buck. What have we to look forward to next year?

    1. back 9 of Pebble

    2. Possibly the VUSO on Oakmont

    3. A mish mash of par 3, par 4 and par 5 courses

I'm not being unappreciative. It's just I'd like a brand new course to play. All these fancy competitions are great but the possibility of a completely new additional course to WGT would be something to smile about.

Anyway.....Happy Christmas WGT and all the best for 2016.

Personally if they going to let someone choose then I would prefer mags to do it.

I've got a better idea. A general survey sent out by email to everyone in Champion, Tour Legend and Legend Tiers. Vote on 18 par 3's, par 4's, and par 5's. Most votes and the holes go in the courses. Most popularity would nearly insure more play ... what could make more sense for WGT and the players?

I like it  or even send a message to all CC owners.  Then they can go to their own club members to see what holes they like.  CC owners then reply to the message sent by WGT.

Here is my idea....from another thread but got accused of negativity...lol.

To be honest, I think it is pretty much a waste of programmers time and effort.

Best of courses are fun for playing alt or m/p occasionally, but will not increase revenue by increased ball sales. Add to this, the exclusion on Oakmont (contractual reasons I believe) you will never have a fair representation of a "best of" course.

I have never played the best of 3's but best of 5's can be fun in a CC Eagles only event - otherwise they are pointless.

I would rather have the programmers spend their time fixing the untold bugs and stability issues, and then produce a "new" course.

To me it is glaringly obvious that Pebble B9 has been held back and nothing else new is in the pipeline. Sad times ahead if all we get is a rehash of a stale idea.

    Mutton dressed as lamb.

I too would like a breakdown of points earned from the first clash to #Fiasco 14.

Could then do some analysis on how "popular" these are. Pity is, they could have been enormously popular had they been fair and based on skill.

As for Bank, coming soon....this is another concept that they do not have the skills to implement.

Why? Whether you received a Golden Calf or not ain't important, nor are the other prizes. Participation of members is purged with Clash termination as well as the alibi win/loss stats.

If memory serves me well, participation at the top is growing - from around 65,000 / 40,000 points in #13 to 87,000 / 51,000 in #14. So, Golden Calves are popular.

Furthermore, my CC received more points and a better position (99). A few members have developped ambition though we didn't even talk about it in the CC forum. I'm lucky to say that I didn't detect any pass buys. OTOH, the CC passes earned (3) are long eaten up by the free passes we missed, everything back to normal.

Don't think that WGT has an interest to publish these data - they might be used to determine their business success or - heaven forbid - be negative.

    Concerning the company's promises:

    - from the Pebble Beach example, triple any ascertained time spans and expect fulfillment NOT,

    - "soon" means "am Sankt Nimmerleinstag" in traditional (German) Catholic counting where certain common events were connected to saints' days. Of course, this saint doesn't exist, "Nimmer" is "Never", the date is "Neverday". In English, it's "at the Twelfth of Never!"

Aside from the bank, it applies to the benefits of CC levels 17 up :(

    Edit:

...and, most probably, to the new Best of courses from that Special Clash Present.

    Why?

Curiosity! Participation at the top may have increased, but I bet overall participation is down.

Of course they will not publish them, unless they can be manipulated to show the resounding success.

But why are previous clash results (even the top 200) not available like other tournaments? Odd

I like the term Neverday.................quite appropriate

Don't forget, they are the Hold-Your-Tongue Tribe - their haka call is "Hush!"

And remember, the first Event disappeared into oblivion in the final second, then
    - on request - the top 100(?) were published in the News or here, and only from #4(?) the built-in leaderboard was made more permanent. Thus, some former results are still be available.

    Pointer to #2

    #2 Top 100

    #3

    Concerning "soon":

I love the English expression - it's much more precise than our's ;)
