tier and level equipment

  Need to pander to WGT's pocket here!

   

  Been away for two years and came back Tuesday.  Made Legend 2nd round.  Now to compete I need at least a new driver but although Legend and on hardest Tees I wont be able to buy equipment I need for weeks at the rate of leveling, I'm 91.5,  so your tier/level system is penalising me.  What is my incentive to play?!

  Your incentive to play is based upon the fact of whether or not you want to play . There are plenty of good clubs that will allow you to play well from the tips . At the same time if you go to the section 'Everything Else " you can ask to be gifted clubs during the 12 days of Xmas giveaway which is going on right now . Welcome back not much has changed the game is still a pain and WGT is still all about the dollar . So go and get your requests in and you just may get lucky . Tis the season to be jolly . :-)

  At your current level, there are some very good choices in clubs that will allow you to score well from the Legend tees. I'm using a L83 Callaway driver. It's sufficient. I've had a number of decent rounds with it and the Nike irons (Level 85) I have. And I always play ranked rounds from the legend tees. I don't see any penalizing at work or any disincentive to play.

  Lonnie is correct...at level 91 you can buy at least 3 different drivers that will easily work for you, and are quite popular amongst the legends...they range between $27-$30 US...as for the rest of your clubs, I didn't research those, but I'm certain you can upgrade those as well at your level. 

  That said, it's gonna cost a few bucks, so like Lonnie suggested, maybe Santa will help you during the 12 days of Xmas.

  If I ask for the equipment I want I wont be able to equip it!  That's the problem.  I can buy unequipable  stuff now.

   

  The reason they deny you equipment until a level rather than a tier is reached is your encouraged to lash out ~ $7 a week on the top balls.

  Dave, I just took a peek at your equipment, the only thing that you really need to do is upgrade your irons, drop the hybrid and add a 3rd wedge. Your driver is fine, even from the back tees. As Lonnie said, you could always ask Santa for something new. Just look for the thread titled: Day 8 Christmas 2015 tomorrow and post to be gifted something. Can't say you will get it but if you don't, you can try again the next day and so on until day 12.

  Ditto really to the above:

  L90 the equipment is now amazingly good.  Against other Legends and even TLs it's pretty well covered off now.  As shiny as the L97 irons look score differences will show seldom because of equipment past L90.  OK arguable, with the way the game has gone, there should be a real top end driver by L93 say but score wise becauseo f it again SS time to analyse.

  In the time you have been away WGT created red tees as you may or may not know.  Sadly many are now tiers they would not be  in as WGT also linked them to RRs. Basically tiers and average are plastic badges more than ever now.

  I saw a Nike L71 ball in your inventory.  IMO you are not able to exploit that properly with your club attributes, and I would say save money with a less expensive ball.  My CC has a website (all via my page) that may help - Feel free to use it whether you join or not:).  Cheers
