When to upgrade balls?

  Hello all I am pretty new to WGT.  I just bought the Ping i25 irons.  I want to know when I would buy a new set  of balls or if I should at all?
  
  Any other product suggestions are helpful I have starter everything else besides the irons and I am lvl 38.  I tried searching the forums but could not find much help on this topic besides do not buy balls that are higher then your clubs, and balls are pricey so not sure which route to go.

  Whether you upgrade balls is up to you. If you think you are scoring well and don't mind the meter speed on your current balls, don't change. But if you would like a little more spin and distance, you can try the Srixon. It is a decent ball and only 180 credits for level 11+ and 200 credits for 13+.

  It's a shame you didn't ask advice before buying irons. A set with high trajectory would have lasted you longer. As for balls I'd recommend the Srixon or Volvik.

  Since costs are a subject for you, you might want to stay on the unexpensive side. Those B-ES provide some of the comfort of custom balls and there are more below 100 cr. For me, the Tour-XD were the choice for a long time: 65 cr, and a tad of extra length and spin, a bargain!

  One of the good things here is that we may choose the "entry fee" ourselves and use the kind of ball which suits our purse. If it hurts too much to lose one, play a cheaper one!

  Concerning the Coin clubs, they are invisible to those (like me) from the PC side of the game, so I may only guess that they may be similar to the L8 "Tour Starter (colour)" wedges - not too brilliant in characteristics. Perhaps, rent the L39 ATV 64° wedge for a comparison, and roam through the green bunkers with that - might be a revelation. Same for chip and pitch shots, and for precision approaches!

  Go for a ball you can easily afford that has a decent spin rating. You have decent clubs for a new player but it's going to require a little different approach to the game than if you had irons with a high loft. Your shots come in lower and require more spin than a shot that drops from the sky softly, like a high lofted club lets you do.

  This is ok, though, because you play from shorter tees, for now. I made Legend with the old version of those clubs and I used the Tour-SD ball. It was fun to play with, didn't break the bank and you could really attack pins. You can keep yourself in balls really cheaply.The GI-SD is the same ball with a slower meter but your clubs already have a slow meter so speeding it up won't hurt. (Don't get hung up on the meter speed-you'll adapt, just stick with whatever you end up with.)

  I see you rented a HB. Save your money, that's not what you should be trying. Look at the wedges. Most players eventually figure out 3 wedges beats 2 wedges and a HB and if you set yourself up with a 64W, 60W and 56W, you will really start to improve. Those 2 balls I mentioned will fit nicely, too.  GL

  I totally agree with Jim, and I went a similar route, using the G20s and the Tour SD.

  Very good point re faster meter, I steered clear of faster meters for a long time think....nah, will be to fast. You adapt! 

  Agreed on the wedges as well and will pay dividends over a hybrid.

  You can upgrade as much as you want or your budget allows, but with decent irons  a good driver and 3 good wedges, you can make t to legend before needing to further upgrade.

  Thanks Jim I tried the Tour- SD balls and like them a lot for the 65cr price.  For now I do nto think I need anything more then that.

  For the irons I have read a couple posts in the forums talking about the old version of that club and how they were pretty good and should carry me to legend.  I am waiting till lvl 48 and going to get the r1 driver which I have heard should last me till the 90's.

  I do have the two mk2 coin rental wedges which I actually like a lot, I have tried a couple of other wedge rentals but keep going back to those wedges, I think getting rid of the hybrid and getting a 90yd range wedge would help my game.

  I have made  list of my next upgrades does anyone have any comments or suggestions on this list?  I keep doing trialpay offers and have 2264 coins now, but might break down at some point and buy 2k wgt coins to remove some adds (really trying hard to not spend any of my own money for now).

  Route of next upgrades:

  1.) R1 driver at lvl 48 (2,495 credits)

  2.) R15 lvl 41 3-wood (895 credits)

  3.) Gorge lvl 41 56* wedge - 90yds (295 credits)

  4.) lvl 35 ghost putter (800 credits)

  Tour-SDs in terms of performance are really good. I still play with them sometimes.

  As for ur clubs, if u do plan on buying the R15 3wd you might have to be careful with some of the par3s which would be in a big gap between 3i and 3wd. Might have to get a hybrid or use starter 3wd on certain courses.

  On a sidenote,what are these coins again?
