andyson: plus shipping.
The cards are electronic (emailed to you).
andyson: you must be verified to partake of the elite collection. What to do with those hundreds of thousands of credits then?
They ALL sell them via gifting, blitzes, skins, or mp. Player A shoots player B (the non-verified) x amount of money thru paypal, or whatever money-transfer option they agree on. Player B then gifts or loses, usually (a minimum) twice what the money would have gotten had it been deposited and credits purchased.
There are TONS of players doing this and it's the simplest thing for WGT to catch, and it's the biggest threat to their income. Catching these black market sellers and buyers would be 100 times easier than catching the first day "hack" shooting a 55 at Kia.
If I owned a business, and was getting robbed by my customers, I'd change the rules, put things into place that stops any "gambling" amongst non-verified players, the gifting would have limits (amounts and time periods), etc. Why WGT even allows, or has, gifting is beyond me. Very, very few people will deposit money (buy credits) and "gift" others. Sure, some do, but they are less than .001 %. The pop-up to gift, the ads to gift, etc simply mean WGT "loses" what might have been some real money deposited into their coffers. Other than to be able to tell (or show) Callaway, or Taylormade or whoever that "hey, look!! your balls equipment are selling pretty good", I think the gifting option hurts WGT's pockets more than they realize.
I'd focus an entire team on just scrutinizing every "non-verified" player's dealings.
And, if anyone believes that some of the "non-verified" players are just kind-hearted people who share their winnings, well, then your just a plain dumb-a**.
Sure, they are many, many (the majority) of players on here who don't have the means to spend money on balls/equipment. If those players live inside (or have the knowledge to "virtually" and temporarily live inside) a country that has free credit offers, they have that option. If not, I'm sure creating 100 friends to invite comes to mind when the balls run low.
Then, there are those that simply decide to not drop any money, spend the time to grab the free credits, and play forever with the best equipment/balls and always have a bank. And WGT makes money (instead of losing) from the free credit offers.
