With the Callaway Spin balls, i managed to score my lowest yet for CTTH courses, awkward shots that used to roll before, stop where you want them, (especially Wolf Creek 5th) they are perfect for ctth, will always use them from now on, but prefer either Callaway ones in stroke play (due to the slower meter for my putter) than legend ones.

I was wrong to critise the balls to begin with without giving them a chance...just a pity about the price!

The balls are just fine as they last a long time. Wgt brought them out for everyone when instead the legend balls could be for everyone and the Calloways could be legend only. It seems they are sacrificing parity dearly for a new sponsor.

I know MIke..Its a slippery slope. IM hoping that all the new income WGT is getting here will help get more courses built this year. I would love to see a US open Course. A course representing the LPGA, and another one for the Royal and Ancient. Maybe even 1 for the senior tour or a ryder cup venue.

We have two US Open courses already; one a little easier would be nice!  You know, a Sunday Stroll-type course.  For sub-legend tier only - we wouldn't want scores in the 40's  ;-)

Got to admit, WGT must be laughing all the way to the bank.  Although there have been a lot of critisims about the new Callaway balls, everyone I play seems to be using them.  And got to agree with the OP, I played about 7 holes with what remained of my last Callaway i(s) yesterday, also at Wolf Creek, and I now see the difference in stopping power when compared to the GI3-S ball.  But I still think the GI3-S used to stop quicker than it does since the Callaways came out... a little bit of re-programming perhaps???  I too may start using the Callaway... where there's no water!  I'd cry if I lost one of those!

And yet, everyone wants Sawgrass...can you imagine the profits for balls at 17?

And the new Calloway Diablo? 295 yards and two dots of spin lol. Move over Ping and Taylormade.
