L90 Platnium Nike, only 15 holes durability?

  Thought I'd give them a shot for a little New Year splurge.  And a ball taken away after 15 holes.

   

  Watch this.   (it finally happened to me)  sniff sniff.  Had a good round going too.  FML

  Yep, just before posting this.   Just asked for a replacement.  That turned my 58 into a 61  LOL.   

   

  Oh well, lost a second ball out of that sleeve on St A's #1  right after the round when a 26mph right to left wind decided not to be there after aiming right on my drive.   Ball landed just on to the right of the hazard.  This is why I don't like playing the top premium  balls here.  The L48 Nikes, I would have just laughed at both and saved a replay.  ;-)

   

  Don't know why I still expect to compete in the club events, my game disappeared long ago.  I should just use the yellow 10 cr WGT ball LOL.

  LOL, at least you once had a game! Gone one better than me.

  I compete in club events in the hope, just once I might excel and the top dogs will be too drunk to see the ding line!

  But I hear you on the top balls, too good for me as they tend to do odd things. I have not even tried the Platinums, too pricey to become an addiction lol.

  They are pretty sweet to play with, I just could never afford to figure them out,  very touchy with the spin LOL.  The way the earn credits area is going for me, I may go back to the yellow ways just for virtual budget sakes. 

   

  Anyways,   WGT responded very quickly to my message to them and even replaced the whole sleeve, not just the one ball that I asked for.  :)

  I've been going back and forth with customer support since the end of December, I noticed the nike platinum balls get less hits per ball as they did even a month ago, yet the durability is still 2.5, I told them they need to change it to 2 so they aren't lying to people about what it is they are paying money for, they sent me a message about real golf balls getting tears and scratches and that sometimes real golfers lose their balls in the water or cant find them in the rough and that they want as real a ball as they can have in virtual golf..they also told me that when I hit a ball in the water or o.b. that I lose the ball, like I haven't had that happen dozens of times..The folks at customer service have never even played this game, and WGT has made a business decision to put out a product, get players to buy it and get used to using it, then take about 1/4 of the hits you have away and they pretend the new generic ball is the same as the platinum ball they came out with originally..if you can win the credits you need to buy the balls then fine, I do that as I like the performance of the ball, but please don't pay WGT any real money for this ball until the specifications on the ball are changed to reflect its reduced value.
