Upgrade me

  I own:

  Rapture V2 10.5 L32
  Rapture V2 3W L32
  WGT Starter Hybrid

  Z Satin 54 & 60 L14

  K15 Irons L38

  Redwood ZB L44

  G13-S Balls

   

  I like the slow swing meter and at times use the 'off centre' technique.
  I prefer the S balls to the D balls. (D balls extra distance isnt reflected in the Caddy info

  I dont use the Hybrid often however when the hole calls for it, I use it well
  I also Punch it out of the rough.

  I owned the G10's for a while and hated them, Sold them back for the K15's

  I'm thinking of a step up to the Rapture V2 L47@ 9.5d - Will it make that much of a difference?
  Perhaps I should hold out till the R9 L73?

  Also thinking of the K15 L37 @ 20d  or the Rapture L47 @17d  Hybrids

  Will different Wedges make a difference ?
  Which ones?

  Get rid of the hybrid and go with 3 wedges

  If you insist on the slower meter driver/irons, then you need to go for the longer Rapture driver .. from 245 to255 doesn't sound like much, but it's a big difference. Sooner or later, though, you'll want even longer which will mean the R9 or G10, both of which are much faster.

   I'm with the Sarge ( as many of us are) ... drop the hybrid ( or 3w) and pick up a 3rd wedge. since you already have the z-satins, grab the 64 -degree to fill out the set. The short game is where you really score well , so set yourself up to cover that 120 yrds or so from the pin.

  Take it a step further and go for 4 wedges.  :-)

  So the 54 does 85y

  the 60 does 65y

  Your suggestion is to go to the Z-Satin 64 L39 which does 50y

  does that suit the rest of my Wedges.

   

  I dont mind replacing them all... 
  Should I do a FULL upgrade too all three L39 Z's?

   

  I'll do the Driver upgrade for now to the Rapture

  No. You won't gain anything. The only Satin wedges that are different, even though the specs say they are the same, are the 2 Master ones, 90 and 110, available at level 64. That 64 degree wedge should be the first one anybody buys as it is invaluable around the greens and will last you for as long as you play.
