    Tgkomv:

Can anyone explain how I can get these Mac Screenshots to show up correctly?

Corwyn has already provided the information you seek in his blurb.

I am happy to say that I managed to avoid three-putting entirely on one of the toughest putting tests in WGT.

I am not happy to say that I did it by four-putting my only three-putt opportunity.

Everything was going smoothly until a trip to the jungle on #3.

I took two shots to hack out, then hit a pretty nice 9 iron to 3 feet for a tap-in double.

Followed by a shot to the back right fringe on #4 resulting in a 4-putt, and then I started going at pins more aggressively than I should have. I did have several good looks at birdie but couldn't hole anything other than the two wedge up-and-downs on the front nine.

I didn't think 3w could get there from 204 into the wind on #6, but it did.

72% punch shot from 24 yards to save par on #11

Nice 3H to inside 10 feet on #12, but couldn't make the putt.

Only 8 feet for birdie on #16, so play a little extra break and a little more speed - and miss low anyway.

First score under par in this format; missed an easy 3ft at 6 than holed a couple from 21ft and closed with 7 birdies... only bad thing i missed the fairway on an easy hole (went into a bunker) and cost me a bogey.

    No, it was still uneven lmfao & p*ss off wgt ! replay.aspx?ID=b014de78 a2d9 484e 882a a58900d7f101 OB #2

just now tried to look how fmagnets played the hole, says no video available ?

TIO time now after 9 shots !!!!!!!

ok then dinger off tee on #9 go straight right into 70% deep, little forgiveness i know but Lol

    this game sometimes,,

Saver #12, after wicked bounce on approach to scream above and behind hole replay.aspx?ID=e2ec1dab 615b 4e14 b25a a58900e24ba0

    Nice putt aiming over 3 sq's left on #14 replay.aspx?ID=8fc33069 f8f5 4376 a4a8 a58900e4f7e5

Hard wind here on #17 ( with club shots i nearly forgot Lol )

couldn't reach the green or stop the pitch from rolling 9ft by underneath.

Scrambling and putting really helped on the toughest of TIO events to me yet, every par feels a struggle !

So ends my 1st try at a running commentary on a round i christened

" Above and Beyond the Call of Duty "  Lol

Always play it as before. The black lie after OB is a glitch.

The video is fine. Are you trying to access it from a country where Youtube is blocked?

Thanks for that reminder about the false Black Box lie after an OB, Mags. Very timely for this course!

I'm going to add that as a tip in the opening page posts for the future.

And sorry to hear of your troubles there HIO (and the same commiserations for mmyers0 and lisa). I knew this course was going to be painful on the greens, hence the decision to avoid Tourney12 and Champ green speeds, but it's also brutal if you miss the fairway badly.

FYI: I think the problem HIO had with your vid was in using the link you posted on p2: it goes to an 'edit video' link which, if you have an account, defaults to "my videos" on YouTube instead of to the particular video in question. When I tried it, it went to my own video index page, which gave me quite the double-take!

    fmagnets:
First round 70 for me. Card and stats at 45m22s, clubs on return to the game client at the end of the vid.

This I think is the corrected link to your R1 video. (found via your handy playlist of TIO event videos).

Thanks for that. Worked for me, but that was because it was a link to the edit page of that video while I was logged in to my account. The general link for random punters is different (because nobody else can access my editing page, of course!), so I will amend it.

    Thanks Mags!

FYI all: I've just set-up and started to populate the Stats Spreadsheet to track potential prize-winners for this event.

I'll add entries to it as and when I can, and as they come in.

Note that I'm keeping the player's data from prior events in the left-most Club Evidence column, as most players seem to do the same kind of proof each month. A round is only valid and checked if I've made it bold!

    -------------------------------------------------

Paul (HIOSoon): one more thing I wanted to say having now seen your full posting and stats. Congrats on really toughing-it-out after that quintuple-bogey because of the OB's and deceptive black-box lie. Many players on here would have thrown in the towel after getting a 9, but to come back and post a 76 is very impressive. And, I'm delighted to see you're now the front-runner in several prize-categories. Even if a top-5 finish may be a stretch now, I'd love to see your tenacity rewarded with a special prize or two!

    -----------------------------------------------------

Also, I'm going to throw in my usual sponsorship of a sleeve for the following 3 prizes:

    1) Highest overall percentage of Greens in Regulation  (tiebreaker: AveDistancePin)          SPONSORED: Corwyn

    2) Closest Ave. Distance to the Hole        SPONSORED: Corwyn

    8) Most 1-Putt Saves (as determined by scorecard)    SPONSORED: Corwyn

And, of course, it's not too late to add your own sponsorship. There's a list of possible prizes (that will be tracked on the Stats Spreadsheet) on page 1 of the thread... or feel free to invent your own prize category.

    Donations are always welcome, lol!
