    OK...comedy of errors here. With respect to my earlier post on CS, when I contacted one of the Mods about my gifting balls to the wrong person, he said that nothing could be done. He did make the offer that I ask a second opinion from CS. I sent them an E-mail, but they respond only to my WGT E-mail account, which I have no access to, It comes down to me confirming if action has been taken (or not) by contacting the member. My friend stated he never received the balls, so I "assumed" the first Mod was correct and nothing could be done. I just received a PM from a different Mod, which said they did, in fact, re-route the sleeve to the correct person. My friend hasn't let me know that he received them (he may not be aware), so I will PM him.

    My sincere apologies to CS. I appreciate the correction and I can now say the jury is in and you guys did right by me.  Much appreciated.

    This may only be a sleeve of balls, but with the dismal Cdn exchange rate, anything I purchase on here is very expensive.

    Had a few dealings with CS during my time on here. Through time I've found them to be most helpful. When a result hasn't gone my way it's probably been down to my own, shall we say, less than eloquent use of the English language - probably borne out of sheer frustration.

    Treat the folk with respect when contacting CS and you'll receive the same back. You may not get the result you want, but should get a full, clear explanation as to why the decision was made - that's all I ever seek.

    I've had the bog standard "Clear your cache etc" -  to the 'Do you want me to close your account?" one liner.

    The best/most surprising response I've had was to an e-mail I sent as I approached L94 a few years back;

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Dear Mr. WGT,

    As I post I am sitting approx 200 points shy of reaching L94, may reach it within a few hours or so  as my consecutive days (200) bonus updates.

    What  I'm curious to know is this:

    What is actually contained within the GOODY BAG  I've heard so much about?

    I've heard various rumours on the golfvine about the contents -  from a free 'no miss' putter to a personalised game aid that increases the cup to double it's diameter.

     I suspect - honestly I do -  that someone's been telling me porkies as I doubt such things exist.

    Now, on the other hand I've also heard that there is no such thing as the aforementioned Goody Bag to be had from those in power and that such a personal momentous occasion is completely ignored with no reward whatsoever on offer for one's loyalty to the WGT cause.

      I'm certain that  there's no chance such a fine, caring, and honourable organisation as your good selves at WGT  would even contemplate being so tight fisted towards your long standing customers.

    Can anyone confirm if either of the above actually occurs?

    Yours in golf,

    WT2010 (Johnny)

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    After sending the above I was amazed to find the guys @ WGT Towers had taken the time to reply in a similar vein and I was fortunate enough to receive not only 2 dozen high level Nike balls for my 'birthday', but also, the best bit for me; someone from the office had actually taken the time to send me a real birthday card - in the form of an E-card - congratulating me, too.

    Just though the above was worth sharing. Had cause to contact CS/mods for some help over the recent Xmas period also and happy to say all was resolved quickly to the satisfaction of all concerned.

    Lastly; apologies to CS if you suddenly find yourselves inundated with a mountain of mail from folk adding candles to their very own WGT birthday cake... :O)

    Cheers,

    Johnny.

    Thank you everyone for your comments.  I will definitely let Customer Service know about the thread.  I am sure they will be happy to see so many players happy with the job they do!

    I too have contacted CS and each time they are professional and courteous.  Hope that part of the game never changes.

      I also have had nothing but good experiences when contacting CS with a problem but,

    With all due respect for the tough job you have to do Shoe, how is that there can be a ten page thread about things players would like to see changed or modified to be more user friendly, but the usual response notes the voice of the forum is just a very small majority? Here we have a mere 3 pages of praise for CS, and all of a sudden the voices  are substantial enough  to be passed on.

      TY for your instructions John, but I thought by letting Shoe know he has my respect for the job he has to do, that the cynism factor was removed and it was more of an inquiry.

     I'll make sure next time I leave something on your wall and ask your permission before I politely post something in this public forum.

    Ed...

    This thread is thanking the Mods and CS folks, not the IT guys. The Mods and the CS folks do a great job, especially given the many situations they have no control over.

    I believe you meant to say small minority vice majority, which is true. This forum reflects a tiny fraction of the registered accounts on here. But I have never gotten the impression that the Mods don't take the posts seriously simply because we don't represent a large enough majority. The complaints that are brought up here seem to be in basic agreement...I'm certain the Mods understand that many of these complaints or suggestions are real, and do pass them on. The problem is with the IT shop...(do they even have a QA shop)

    Certainly, minority was meant.

    I have, because this was once stated by a mod, and since then it's a running joke to respond in that sense: "The silent majority outside the fori desires..."

    Now so. could not resist to turn it upside down - I second him.

    I agree, but problem is also with Customer Relations aka HUSH dept., and rumour has it that QA has been relocated to "Bielefeld".
