    Hi there,

if an alternate game ends by a long putt or great chip/pitch/flop in, the winning team and the opponent are so baffled that none has a chance to thank for game etc.

I always have a "gg" in my cache ready to be filled in into chat box, but i think that is not the best solution. I remember a time when there was time at the end of a match to have a small departing chat, and if U play around 40-50 minutes on a good alternate, sometimes in OT, I find it more than fair enough to have the extra courtesy time to say goodbye - 20 seconds instead of actual 3....

How is Your opinion on that?

Cheers, Kylander (Champion tier level 104)

I'm sure most people would agree with you, it is very annoying.

    "courtesy time" - nice phrase!

As far as I remember there has never been a lot of time for signing off at the end of an MP game, but now it's worse than ever.

I tend to do this to help combat the problem, not perfect, but just an idea.

I play alternate almost exclusively, and often set the games...as the "host", it is somewhat frustrating to have almost zero time for good byes at the end of a game. I generally post on their walls or send PMs. It's a bit more laborious, but at least I get to thank them for participating.

Scott's suggestion is also very good...:)

This current aggravation actually started when they took away the default location of the cursor in the chat box after that glorious update that messed up cameras, the ability to look in an opponent's bag and the now frequent unexpected errors.

For what is supposed to be a social game, it sure is a pain to maintain a conversation or comment on the match, let alone thank everybody for the round in the end.

Jim, U are damned right, it all happened together, including multiplying the WGT "awards" points by factor 364....

And earlier, yes, you could fill in chat box ur part of conversation, now it stops when  someone else changes club etc. I get kicked off often when clicking a players profile, which i wrote several times to WGT within months, not even an answer.

But they send these nice emails about "how would You rate our customer service?"

Focus on the game, forget about silly add-ons, and re-program in html or what else, because not only Steve Jobs (RIP) knew: FLASH sux...

Totally agree - and the 'Rematch/Chat' button only gives a rematch opportunity. Time it was fixed (I remember seeing a similar post some months back)

Yep, that would work but just remember to click in the chatbox before using ctrl+v.

What I started doing,  is typing out what I wanted to say before the final putt is taken.  Works good in stroke play but if a matchplay or alt shot, make sure the putt is a for sure a makeable putt and will end the game before saying GG.  Nothing like saying GG only to find out you missed and they still have a chance to win.  Would seem a bit cocky LOL.

Seeing as how the chatbox loses focus all the damn time, might be better to have a text editor (ie. notepad) open to type out anything longer than 'gg' or 'wtf!' and copy and paste it from there.  : )
