    +1!

About time to add all those user's workarounds to the FAQs!

It is not a work around and it is not WGT. It is what Adobe did to flash.Every gaming site that uses flash has the same problem with memory and that is what is causing the problems. Using an older version of flash before they made the change helps but with most sites trying to block an outdated version of flash it is just as easy to close nd restart  your browser

Just curious to know if those with issues lately have a folder called 'Doomed' contained within the user's own AppData folder. It applies particularly to those using the Chrome and FF browsers - others may have it, too?

    It's found here;

    LocalDisk ('C' in my case)/Users/Username/AppData/Local/Mozilla/Profiles/******.default/cache2/Doomed

To me, it is - but each to his own.

Not directly, and I didn't say so. Alas, it's neccessary to play the game.

And it becomes WGT since they stick to Flash despite all the negatives. See Shoe's recent statement: "No intentions to change"

Do you have links pointing to the current version of Flash having a memory leak?

I thought YJ has the memory leak problem on an older version of Flash?

Imagine to have to stop your car every 27 miles to clear the filters, because otherwise the consumption would go through the roof (is this an anology to the memory-eating effect?).

You wouldn't accept it, even less when it was o.k. to run forever before the last shop service.

Good point! If I had to stop my cars every 27 miles to do maintenance I wouldn't take any unnecessary  trips it would be a hassle because I don't eat or whiz that much .....

I choose to take my car on trips, it's warmer/cooler, more room, more comfortable, but if I had to stop every 27 miles I would take my motorcycle.....

However I keep playing this game even though I now have to reboot etc. every 27 holes because it isn't really a hassle, it takes 2-3 minutes.... I don't have to do it, I can still play with a stuttering meter or 1 that races like I did for years, but I CHOOSE to do it because I now know I can have a perfect meter if I do....

I do and it's just as prevalent. FWIW, though, you don't need to do anything other than refresh your browser every few games. For me it takes about 5-6 rounds before I see real issues so I routinely hit the refresh button after a round when I think about it.

If I forget and am playing a round where the issue crops up, doing the same thing fixes it but also causes a game disconnect. There is no need to waste time with a reboot.

p.s., If you want to see it in action, open your Task Manager, peep the memory usage and watch what happens when you refresh.  :-)

Glad that works for your setup but it doesn't work for me, been there done that, nothing short of a reboot to completely clearing the memory fixes mine....I can go 5 rounds or so during the week before doing it I choose to do it more often....

Have you looked at what boots up that could be hogging some of that memory? I only have 4GB myself but the startup is minimal and the only thing I have running in the background when I play  is AV.

Oh yeah, long long ago before I ever came here...LOL

The PC I play on and do nothing else but play WGT, is running XP, Adblock, with nothing else running in the backround when I play...3gigs of memory....

I do run the AV/Firewall/winpatrol when I take surveys or do videos but shut it all down when I play.....

Every setup is different and play different to some extent....I played on several PC we have with different flash versions, OS's(win7/XP/win10/Win8)...on the Toshiba with 12gigs ram, I7 processor the meter was so much slower than I have ever seen it on any of the wi7/XP units....it was like I was using balls and clubs with a 5 meter speed and smooth as silk.
