Looking to buy a set

  Hi everyone

   

  im level 31 and looking at buying a set of clubs that will last me quite a while, any suggestions? also, if I buy them now, when im a much higher level will I need to buy uograded clubs to deal with the White tees etc?

   

  thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated

  I used starter clubs until I got to level 59 and bought the Pings. The only thing I found is that when I tiered up to Tour Pro (IIRC), I had to buy a driver. It really didn't take me that long to get to level 59, and I scored halfway decently with the starter irons and wedges.
  
  Others might have better suggestions, but I would wait. And the reason is that whatever clubs you buy now (IMO) won't last you all that long.
  
  That's just my 2 cents.

  I'd wait until you reach Master tier then you'll have a much better idea of what you need. In the mean time just play lots of courses and learn how to make the most of what you have.

  For $2, I always recommend upgrading to the snakeeye wedges, they'll really help your short game. Other than that , I'd hold out for the Pings as mentioned.

  Start with the Taylormade R11
  
  I remember back then people told me to get those clubs, Taylormade R11 set with the driver 3w, iron set, you can keep the hybrid or ditch them but trust me, these clubs will help you so much until you reach Master Tier.
  
  I won 100$ ingame credit with those clubs
  
  When you reach higher level, look for the Nike Vapor iron at around 60+ levels. People kept telling me to buy the Ping G25, I had both and trust me, the Nike are so much better. Went from Tour Master to Legend in less than 1 month and I'm not a daily players anymore.

  Search the forums.  The consensus among most players is to get the G25's @ lvl 59 because of the higher trajectory.  Use the free 2 hour rental after leveling up, or bite the bullet and rent a set or 2 to try them first.  

  I personally tried both Nike VR's (lvl 52), Vapors (lvl 64) and the Ping G25's (lvl 59) before I bought the Pings.  For my game they worked better.  Bottom line is find out what works for you, and no one else.   Reading the forums will give you more insight into the clubs.

  I believe the question you had was which set do I buy not if. If you have the money and don't want to play crappy starters until L59 that is certainly your decision. I had to money to buy better and I did along the way. Wasted money? Yes, just like my RL CC dues. There is no "best way" but this path will give you good clubs as you march to Legend.

  LV32 TM R11 set is good. Sell the hybrid. 3495 -100 = 3395

  LV27-31 Cleveland wedges buy the 56, 60 and 64. Yes they are expensive but will take you to the L80ish Clevelands that the very best players in the game use. 2985

  L19 Spider putter 400 (keep until you can get either the L70 Odyssey or the L77 Nike)

  Keep all this till L59 then trade irons for the G25s (big upgrade)

  If you like the long ball (and who doesn't) Trade the driver at either 48 or 55 for the R1TP or M1. The G25 at L58 if on a budget.

  For my money the best early game 3W is the L33 Calloway xhot (expensive but will take you to L73 for the next xhot ) a cheaper option is the R15 at L41.

   

  That will take you to Legend. At L90 the R15/Rsi set is awesome (using that driver/iron combo myself at L93)

  My wife keeps telling me to buy a set, I don't think she's talking about golf clubs though...
