    Doublemochaman:
And the beauty of your idea is that WGT loses no money, unless hordes saved their old tier equipment.  Doubtful.

And if they did save it it would still work because this company isn't going to rely on current members to survive, it has to attract new business. My only fear would be that they would cheap out on the trade ins and try to nab 25 or 50%. That would be lame. LOL, just jack up the prices.  :-D

Here's a wacky idea. Classify all the equipment in the pro shop by tier. Unlock it by tier instead of level. Now, anyone that currently owns the reclassified equipment but is in the wrong tier gets 2 choices.  Sell it back for full value so to purchase appropriate equipment for their tier OR take a promotion to the tier your equipment belongs in.

Everyone before said this was rotten.  However, it will level the playing field more evenly.

Ya, the ones with the huge advantage. LOL. The whole idea was to get WGT out of the corner they painted themselves in to. They already swear they're not going to change attributes yet to make an appreciable difference with new stuff and no further back to go with the tees the game starts to get unrealistic. Leave it alone, it works. Just get the peeps in the right place with the right stuff.

As an addendum, to those that claim they can buy anything they want IRL so why not here? Well, ALee, BIB, Tess, et al sure ain't shooting their scores IRL (or we'd see them on tour) so stretch the truth a little and just say tough, this is a game and those are the rules. (That ought to make a few friends.)  :-)

Yankee spot on, but isn't this how it used to be before WGT started meddling with the tier system (another case of "if it aint broke, why fix it",you get from WGT).

This would be excellent because people wouldn't be at a loss, and if your new driver is cheaper, you'd have credits in the bank untill you buy a new one, or whatever else you need.

This would deffinately stop the countless moaning, arguing, posts we get about fairness etc etc, restore some HONEST incentive back to the game

The only ones who migh complain are the amateurs with the 278 yard driver, but has anyone ever seen WGT admit they've messed up and reverted back to old way of ANYTHING???

And it would be extra revenue aswell to go with the $3.00 balls, imagine how much legends will rush out to buy them??

We as Legends have to rely on our abilities, it's what got us to this position. Most Legends have thousands of ranked rounds with the same equipment as a lesser tiered player, and I believe that experience will always prevail.

"We as Legends?" Been a Legend for eight whole days and ya wanna take over the whole joint, do ya?

    Sorry.... couldn't resist.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming. lol

To get the f'n sandbagger label off! Unfortunately I don't cherry pick the rounds and don't shoot enough 30s to get there. I lost a lot of regular playing p's and hate where I'm at. It's embarrassing having the right clubs and the wrong tee.  JMO

@WGT-How about an option to voluntarily move up?

I quote you in full. I am one of those that would gladly step up but cannot post low enough scores to do so. This coupled to the fact I am loving playing the alt/shot format (as I find very few quit that),  which does not count towards my average, makes me feel a little like a sandbagger...

Love to choose the up button if I could...love to see legends stop complaining and step up to the challenge.

Someone quoted.....look at it this way  ------->  the regular Callaway ball played by a Tour Master on very fast greens is gona stop the ball same as my "Legend" ball on tourney greens so it's a rub.

TM's play on tourney greens...not very fast...just like to point that out.
