Which putter to get

  I am at level 88 and have been using the TaylorMade Ghost Spider Putter (L35+) for a while. I was thinking of getting either the NIKE Method 001 Putter (L77+) or the MAX Control Putter (L80+). Is either one worth the upgrade? Thanks in advance

  I'm lvl 95 and have been using the Versa (L70) for a longtime. It stacks up against the rest and has been consistently good for me.

  +1 on the Versa (L70). I've tried the others and think the Versa has them beat.

  Ruddy, first thing to do is decide on what increments you like the best. Then if you have a hard time hitting the ding go with the putter with the slowest meter. Which ever type of putter you decide on stick with that type (increments). All the upper level putters are good. Get one and stick with it.

  The above advice by Lonnie Skinner is is of extreme value. It really is. Over time, the usual increments become like your fingerprints. And it can't be screwed up by choice. !5-30 or 10-20 are both enjoyed as you stick with one be loyal. Most would say that the entire Versa lineup is the best way to go. I agree.  ~ SP ~

  the level 92 ghost is my baby with 15-25 increments. she's ah straight shooter wait for it if. you like the spider you got now it only gets better.

  The Versa (L70) is the oldest club in my bag, and the most important. It's failings are pilot error, not equipment.

  I am happy with the level 77 Nike putter and chose it as a result of the "putter precision tests" sticky thread.  The level 80 Max Control had a more scattered result. Looks like the level 70 Versa is close to the 77 Nike in testing. It probably boils down to what scaling you prefer, I like the Nike's 10/20/50 sequence/speed and is a bit cheaper.  -Keith

  Agree. Versa L70 is it until the final Nike.
