Just had the pleasure of playing Kevinf2009. Heh, hard to say pleasure when you begin with a 3 putt and end the same way. In between quite an excellent match going back and forth. Big putts made both ways and we were square on 17. My dinger slides by, his drops, back to down 1. :-(

Kev finished it off with a great birdie putt after bailing on his approach at 18 but with the door wide open before that I took the pressure off by sending a 3W into space. Had to pitch the up in and rolled by. Then Kevin does his excellent finish thing for a fine 60 against my 63.

    Well done, Kevin.

I had to give PetePuma two strokes as he is a legend. He birdied the first and I parred, to go 3 down. He putted really well and with every chance I had he just sank a monster putt. After 4 holes I was 4 down, and playing okay, except my putts were not falling. Then I turned it aroud on 9 with 3 consecutive birdies to be only 1 down, on 15 I squared the match, 16 I went 1 up. I always kept in mind that 18 was a gamechanger, so tried my best at 17 to get another shot lead. Unfortunatly I missed my 9ft birdie putt. 1 Up with 1 to go. Both found the fairway, and I outdrove him. Pete put his approach safely on the green (+/-20ft), and after watching PEnglish's match I new I couldnt leave it to chance. I hit my approach directly at the pin but 10ft short. His putt for birdie narrowly missed and for the first time in the match I had breathing space. I held my putt to win 63-67 (+2 strokes to my score).

Ty  for a tense and fun game. Over and out from a proud, but tired chicken.

Played my match against Tom Bigdaddie1 last night and I got off to a very good start with a birdie over first 3 holes. Unfortunately Tom was not having any luck with some of his putts.

We got to the 8th tee and I was -6 and Tom +5 and he said he was having trouble seeing, so I suggested we can try play game again another time if he wanted.. We finished the 8th hole with the score at -7 and +5 and then he said he does not know why he is playing and said I must post however I want to and then he disconnected.

So guess will let the powers that be make a decision, I did offer to play another time and even sent a pm mentioning this and did not get any response.

So the game finished off with Tom disconnecting and forfeiting with score at -7 and +5 on the 9th tee.

    Thanks

totally agree with you paul, especially with the wide margain in the score line. very sporting john as well offering to play again, you did all you could and a win for the chickens seem's the fair thing.
