John, this isn't a mafia chapter meeting, it's a competition among friends, I don't think macho posturing and ultimatums are the way to go here. It's only 1 point FFS!

Let's not lose sight of the purpose of this competition - making friends and having fun.

The one point advantage is not the issue here Paul. The issue is when someone accepts an invite after showing green, then that is taken as meaning they are ready for a game, be it a meaningless AS game, MPC for credits or a game that one knows is in the schedule to be played and an invite could be coming at any time.

To play one hole and then complain they are not in a state of readiness makes no sense to me.

If she had starter balls or starter clubs in her inventory then fair enough , that was not the case.

Unfortunately this is becoming a bit of a turkey shoot.

The original player Donaldcazino is a player that only plays every 4 or 5 days, and after a few days( as eros captain i expressed concern)

As the messaging system is a bit haywire at the moment it is hard to contact opponents.

You are correct John, 1 point is not the issue, Shelly was meant to play Donaldcazino not you and Paulton is even more correct,

This is a great fun event and the rivalry between Eros & Cosa Nostra should remain exactly that, FUN.

I would stand by Shelly in front of a firing squad on this one, she is not the one at fault here.

Excuse me, shelly and I chatted in the lobby before we teed off, I explained I was replacing Donald and that this was 18 holes at RSG in the MWC, I later clarified MWC was MiniWorldCup.

We teed off and completed the first hole, par for Shelly, birdie for me.

It was then she started her bleating saying she was not prepared and had grandkids running around.

By the time I had read all of her chat messages I was out of time on my tee shot and had no option than to accept her demand of giving a good or bad time to play.

My suggestion that now was a good time went unanswered.

The game was aborted.

She remained online alternatively red or green for a further 14 hours. Obviously forgot to logout whilst playing with her grandkids.

I have at least four potential match play games when I login, if I am "not prepared" then either I don't login or I stay hidden, either way I do not go green and then refuse an invite or even worse accept an invite and later bail out.

we dont need that kind of chat on here mate,i havnt worked my nuts off arranging this comp to have a slanging match going on,

lets calm down,i think the issue here is did shelley agree to play the 18hole stableford knowing you was a substitute.

if she did then she will have to start from the second 1 point behind.but i think this game has turned a bit sour so im not sure she will want to play,

i will message her to get her side then make a decision from there.

for now lets keep a lip on it ok

Yes, you did and I thought you, Paul and myself had it handled. What escapes me here is why there's even a flap about it. What difference does the TL that Shelley have to play make? A TL is a TL.

There's an undercurrent running here and this thread is not the place to expose it.

There is no flap about it Jim,

John will play Shelly and they will commence on Hole 1,

At a time pre arranged by both players.
