Just moved up to a Tour Pro and would like to upgrade my irons.  I currently have the 247yrd Ping driver, Taylor Made 54deg. wedge, and Ping Answer putter.  Everything else is what I started with.  Am I thinking correctly in upgrading my irons, or should I upgrade something else?  It looks like everyone gets the Rapture irons, but I have been looking at the Burner 2.0 set.  All the Raptures that much better?  Would like to keep a slower meter speed.  Thoughts?

By your comparison the Pings are better for you. The only thing better with the TMs is that 1/2 dot of spin. The real things that make a difference are the accuracy and forgiveness, both of which are better with the Pings.

There's a reason it takes 48 levels to get them-they're much better. If you use a slow meter ball you get even better clubs with the G10s.

I am currently at level 53, which level of G10s should I be looking at?

You are already at lvl 53, in my opinion you would do better to wait till lvl 59 and get the G10 iron set then for 1200 credits instead of spending credits on Raptures now that will only be a fill in club set.

G10's speed will also closely match your wedges.

The real advantage of the G10's is the high trajectory..many of the real good players on here use them... The disadvantage is a much faster meter speed..

I'm a master at level 82, and I still use the 2010 Raptures, cause I don't feel like spending 2 much money on balls 2 slow down the meter

Unfortunately the game is designed to encourage spending if you wish to post good scores.

IMHO the G10's are far better than Raptures as they give you the ability to attack the flag instead of trying to just dribble up somewhere close.

With faster green speeds as you advance in tiers, clubs and balls with good spin are essential.

Even with relatively cheapTour S-D Balls my G10 irons can really deliver the goods at times.

GC's right about the level 59 G10s. Look at the trajectory. The earlier G10s are Med/High while the level 59s are High. That is a huge difference as well as a major advantage over some of the elevations around, like BPB5.

FWIW the meter speed is more of a crutch than a benefit, IMO. I think it allows for more time for the meter to spasm and your reaction to it is affected. Try the fast meter for a while, not just a round or 2. You will find yourself adapting to it rather quickly if you give it a go. At worst, it will enhance your timing when you switch back to a slower swing. GL

This is sound advice. The GI-SD golf ball is ideal with the G-10 irons.
