Looking back as a level 35 player, what should be my first equipment upgrade?

I am still using starter irons at Pro level 62.  I want to upgrade but have been waiting to see what WGT will offer in their announced new iron set.  Any more info as to cost or comparison?

My R11 Driver and three Satin Wedges are great.  Any suggestion on Iron sets?

G10s all day. You're high enough, you're not bothered by the meter speed, the speed matches your driver and wedges and the difference will knock you out. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200, go straight to the PS and get them. LOL-your game will take off.  :-)

I recently switched to G10's and love them, they're nowhere near as hard to hit well as I expected and the high flight is a great bonus.

If you use Callaways Z's with them you have a brilliant combination. Albeit an expensive one!

Since you'll likely end up with G10 anyway I'd go for the L35 set, that way you'll already know the meter when you get the top set.

It's easy to waste money on stepping stone clubs, I know I did.

2010 raptures are the way to go, a slow meter gives better shots. ive used them all the way to master and cant see me ever changing them. swing meters on other clubs are mad, just dont buy cheap raptures buy the best

I used the highest Raptors that are available since I joined last June, I think it was. That was when you could buy any club you wanted, they didn't have levels. Anyway, I loved them BUT the combination of meter speeds with my driver and wedges was pretty haywire to say the least.

Right before or after I made Legend tier I bought the G10s because of the high trajectory knowing I would have longer approach shots and need the loft. My meter speed on every club is almost exactly the same now which is what I was after, also. But after using these G10s for about a month now, I can tell you they are head and shoulders above the Raptors. I used the Cal S ball with the Raptors but now use the Cal Z ball with the G10s and can control the release of the ball better with the G10s than I could with the Raptors.

Like I said, I loved the Raptors and they served me well. But the G10s are the way to go if you like to stick your shots and not guess how much roll you're going to get after impact. Especially when a majority of your approaches are 160 yrds plus after hitting from the blacks.

Using the G10s has also made me a little more consistent on meter. Not perfect by no means but better. Going back and forth between a slow meter (irons) and fast meter (driver, wedges) was a handicap in my game.

    Just my .02
