The default aiming target on number 8 at Pebble is not in play. I have to move it to the fairway every time I play. When will this be fixed?

You fix it every time you play - many of those targets are aiming wrong by default.

I always extend them to my target point - about 300 yds with driver.

Exactly. By providing an incorrect aiming point, it gives us a sense of control over the shot. So I re-aim, hit it, and then sit back and guess where it will really land. Sometimes, I'm pleasantly surprised! :-)

It's not an incorrect aiming point, it's aimed at the pin. This one just happens to have a bigass hole in between.

    Signed,

First shot ever there went swimming.  :-D

    :-)

The hole I find irritating with its aim point is (IIRC) #14 of Chambers Bay. In order to reposition the aim point, I have to go to reverse view of a second camera (or something like that). With the regular view, the aim point is not even on my screen to allow me to extend it and readjust.

Some of the aims at Bandon are the same way. That one with the fence that belongs in a Tim Burton movie is a great example. Aiming against a right to left wind is an adventure.  :-D

Just move it into your screen view by clicking and dragging it in the mini map, no need to change screen views. :-)

Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated. Next time I play the hole, I'll do that.

I'm playing on  Kindle so unless I move it to the fairway, it goes to about 67 or 400 yards nothing in between. I then change to view 3 so I can move it to a real aiming point. There are other shots that aim to a less than ideal position, this is the only one where I have to take multiple steps to correct the aim point.

Thanks to everyone for the laughs, trying to sell a bug as a feature is the oldest trick in the programmers book. (I was a developer for 25 years)

IMHO, it's not necessary to bring the aimer to the exact distance - the direction is important. I prefer long target distances to shortish ones because the latter have caused a few errant shots for me.

Since only users have replied here, it's rather tips for user's workarounds which have been provided. These have become very popular for company answers, too!
