Choosing between Putter or Wedge?

  I have 350 credits to buy a new club, and with that amount, I can't buy a new driver (already have one.)  But I was wondering if I should get a better putter or a better wedge.

  What's the better choice?

  lol, thought you were an amateur and then it's a no brainer, wedge.  I still use my first wedge, first purchase, almost on every hole... unfortunately. 

  What putter and /or wedge are you looking at?  I've heard (no experience here) the spider isn't that good; however, since my alt. shot addiction, I have met/been smoked by players who made it to tour master with lots of diff. (lesser?) equipment.

  Well I made it to master with the starter putter....

  My advice is that your wedges and driver are your most important clubs till you hit master.. which then you need some decent irons and possibly a putter.

  You were told right. the Spider putter is only slightly better than the starter. The best bet would be the Anser .

   Definitely go for better wedges ...  lots of very good players still using the starter putter or the very slightly better Spider. I don't think you'll find many of them playing without good wedges, though.

  My average distance from hole (after 1st shot) is between 114-123 yds for longer hole, and 68-75 for shorter ones. Should I go for TM or Ping?

  I was thinking TM 52° (105 yds) for a good spin and precision at 200 credits.  Is there something better to get me into my range (114-123 yds)?

  I would still have 150 credits left. What can I get to get my range of 68-75 yds that would have good precision and spin?

  I would suggest the Satin TP 58 or 60 degree... which are 86 and 77 yards respectively.. thus the 60 degree is within perfect range of what your stating.. but the 58 would be good for those shots that are into some good headwinds.. Both clubs have the best spin you can get and cost 200 credits.. 

   

  There is no wedge made that will reach your desired 114-123 range.. for those instances you would have to choose a good set of irons that have a PW and 9I that would reach those ranges.

  for what it's worth, i find myself using my 64 degree the most.  Unfortunately it is not for the full 60 yard shot with great spin that I strive for;  It is often used well in punch, pitch, flop and even chip format from sand, rough, fringe, fescue and even a fw or two.  I use it a ton, thing's filthy.
