It seems everytime I enter a tournament and get ready to tee off, it's a beautiful and clear day, no rain clouds in sight. But alas, Mother Nature rears her ugly head and hurricane Sandy seems to be following me around to every free tournament I play. And i mean Every Free Tournament. Not sure about the pay one's, I'm much too cheap to plop real hard earned money down on any game. And to top it off, on these sunny and bright, yet extremely windy days, she has managed to fly greens straight in from Iceland, remaing frozen and slick ,making them seem almost icy. Now I'm not sure what exactly i've done to make Mother Nature so mad, but I seem to recall watching a tournament or two on television where she wasn't so upset at all the competitor's, and thus didn't attend. Just wondering if there's any chance of that happening on WGT, or are we to be cursed by her madness forever?!

Wind conditions and green speed are shown in the game client before entering tournaments from there.

Furthermore, as a Pro, you may be caught cold by the conditions of the major tourneys. Virtual Tour, US Open and others (like some CC tourneys) have advanced conditions for all players which may make them virtually unplayable with lower equipment.

    My two Pfennig:

    - Observe the conditions, also green speed when hitting the first green,

    - play those tournament for fun and practice only.

Pulling out the old credit card is your only relief.  I'm convinced that you get better breaks and bounces when you improve your clubs.  Not that the clubs are any better, you've donated to the cause so you get more leeway on shots.  Putts that would normally end up .2 feet from the cup (I've had a ton of those, not to mention the 'lip-outs') will probably drop.

I can only play a few holes of those tournaments before I get so discouraged that I wind up forfeiting.
