    Hi Ed,
Thank you for the message back. If you believe that this will harm your eyes in some way, I would suggest you take what ever steps you believe to be necessary. Unfortunately there isn't plan on adding a way to disable them at this time.

    Best Regards,
    WGT Member Services

Thank you WGT - you are so considerate...

The complete lack of consideration by WGT for their customers is just astonishing. A product that crashes constantly doesn't get fixed, silly additions are made to the game, and inquiries about questionable business practices get "deal with it" responses.

    Unbelievable.

That flashes must be removed. As more customers write to the support as better. I did yesterday and have got a bla-bla-yadda-yadda-answer that they "unfortunally in the moment dont have a way to remove ... schwurbel-schwurbel-schwurbel". To complain here at the forum is ok but not enough. If enough of us write to their support, may be they wake up then and remove the flashes. Here is the link:

Why? I was thinking WGT should double down, and go with multi-colored flashes, maybe throw some blue and gold in there ...

Other ideas to increase the devastating effect:

    - Increase the flash size for better results like birdies. Is it not possible to extend beyond the game window?

    - provide multiple flashes (=> stroboscope effect) for outstanding results, e.g. double for eagle, five-fold for albatross, 10x for HIOs.

Agreed. Maybe fireworks and confetti for HIO.

I am sorry to see some members trivialising what is, to some players, a serious problem. Maybe WGT will read these comments and think, "oh well, some like the flashes and some don't, so we'll sit on the fence and do nothing". It is not a case of liking or disliking the flashing text, it is an addition to a golf game (not a space battle game) that is causing actual physical discomfort to some.

I thought I had found my online gaming home when I stumbled across WGT. A game that would not damage my eyes like most computer games, just good fun with good people. But it looks like a simple game of golf has to tarted up with flashing neon lights to prove it has entered the twenty-first century.

I've only been a member since October but I have spent quite a bit of money buying credits to improve my clubs and buy replacement balls (many, many balls). I've decided... not a penny more will WGT get from me until the flashing announcements are removed, or an option to turn them off is added.

             If I recall correctly.......

One of the earliest posts about this ? merger buyout retirement plan ? mentioned the two companies involved are already 80 percent compatible in what they do.

Or are going to do. Or are trying to do. Or have been doing for some time?

I have no idea, only the crazy ones in my head........But stay with me.

When was the last post about the Real facilities that mentions anything about members of WGT praising the new features that don't hurt your eyes more than 3 feet away on a simulation screen when you use their newer clubs you hit for "free"......Too funny I just realized.......from companies that profit from virtual sales of their clubs on WGT.

It's hard to follow....I just rant from time to time.

I'm thinkin' WGT has lost more control than any of the Cats that really care could imagine.

That's my helluva run on sentence compilation.

    Whatever steps.........like stopping playing

Totally ridiculous, they bring in a teeny bopper arcade like load of boolox then say we have to do whatever.

I posted something fro Wikipedia on another thread. lawyers are looking at companies who do not warn folk of this type of lighting

Even on programmes now, like the news, we are warned of flash photography, as if we are not, then law suits are next step.

Sort it out, you have already spoilt this game over last year or so, then commentator rubbish, constant boolox clashes and now flashing lights when you just land on a fairway FFFFFFS........Chidish, just like Topgolf is compared to real golf

    Dont lick that lady sir!!!
