Hey, I thought I'd be one of your brothers even if I don't make the cut for legend. ;)))

Absolutely!!!  You'll make the cut eventually as I did.  However, I did it on purpose. LOL  I got tired of waiting so I just went for it.

Read what you posted here Jimmyboy!  You werent on between 8 and 9 eastern, central, mountain or pacific!!

On the off chance I said something different I did go back and read what I wrote. Yup, I did say in the first post after 6PM EST. Yup, I did sit and wait for you that day. Yup, checked WGTLS every day between 8-9AM looking for your sorry mutt butt. Nowhere to be found.

It is painfully obvious your reading and comprehension skills are severely lacking but since you won't be reading this maybe Marc (tx for the words, btw, Marc) can relay it to you. The message is simple-I will find you little one, sooner or later. You can't hide forever.;-)

Ah yes... the typical true to form point-the-finger-at-the-other-guy tap dance by the Dissenting Agitator!!! LMAO

Did you expect anything less YJ?  And so the saga continues...

Ghost that equipment until they make the cut.  It'll piss them off but in all fairness who cares.  Just is just.

It seems to me that WGT could easily re-classify equipment and balls.  I don't think ghosting equipment that a player no longer qualified for is the answer, though.  A better solution would be for WGT to give those players full refunds for the equipment, so they could then go to the pro shop and buy the best equipment for their tier/level.  This solves the sandbagging issue, keeps anyone from being ripped off on a previous purchase, and gives players an incentive to move up levels.

It's very frustrating though when you cant compete cuz your opponent has 50yards less off the tee, is 2 or more lower tiers, but plays the same friggin clubs that you do, not to mention the same balls!!!

It's not really that big of a deal CTPB.  Just learn the shots man and ding the meter.  If you don't have the memory for the shots or hand eye coordination to ding the meter, then accept the fact that you're just not as good at the game as the people you are complaining about.  If that doesn't work for you, then do what a lot of others have who felt like they were unjustly thrust into the Legend tier.....close your current account and start up another.  Not trying to be harsh bud, just stating the facts.

I love being a Legend and have no problems playing a person from any tier.  I don't play much against anybody lower than TM but always welcome a challenge against any TM, regardless if they have the same equipment as I do.

MPC record vs TM= 54 up 9 down.  Doesn't seem too unfair to me.

MPC record vs Legends= 97up 40 down.  As you can see win percentage is much better against TM who supposedly have a huge advantage.

I would like to re-iterate what Icon said on page 1 - if you make legend-only drivers that go 300 yards, then they will end up in the same place as someone from a lower tier and so the advanced skill the legends are supposed to have is negated.  I would also agree with what Jake and others have said - practice, learn the shots and courses, and learn to ding.

What I would add is that maybe WGT should review those players who were moved by default to Legend back in Spetember last year and anyone who's average and/or scores is higher than expected should maybe get demoted back to TM and so be able to prove they can actually get to Legend of their own accord.

And I would reiterate what I said earlier in the thread. This is too simplistic an analysis. Anyone making this argument assumes that the only difference between the tiers is longer  distances. That's just not the case. Longer distances aren't the only disadvantage legends face and giving us a driver that went 300 would not negate the yardage difference between the tiers. It would only lessen it.

You can learn to hit the fairway from more difficult tee angles. You can also learn to hit the green from longer approach shots and you can learn to putt on more difficult greens. What you cannot do is learn to hit the ball farther, hence the need for a longer stick.

Are they really disadvantages the legends face, or higher challenges?

Jeez, I dunno. I would say hitting off longer tees with the same club as your opponent puts you at a disadvantage. Wouldn't you?

In any event it really doesn't matter what you call it. My point still stands. Giving legends a longer driver, alone, won't level the playing field. Even with a driver that hit 15 yards further, the Legend will, on most holes, still have a longer approach shot than his opponent and playing under the other Legends conditions (more difficult tee angles, green speeds, etc.) will still be more difficult.
