us open front 9 challenge

  it says on the news article:

  "Play Oakmont, now with new hole locations, in the Virtual U.S. Open Front 9 Challenge."

  i played the first 3 and they are the same as before, is this an typing error or a game bug?

  There were two sets in the full game and it's most unlikely to become three. I imagine that there was only one set of pins in the CTTH and they just added the other set, well known from the full game?

  I have heard that they do have an (as yet) unreleased 3rd set of pins for Oakmont. Perhaps the description is the usual poor/misleading English from WGT and they mean that that we can play Oakmont (which will shortly have a 3rd set of pins) in the f9 challenge.

  I played it before leaving for work this morning.   The entire game I still heard the lobby music while playing LOL.   Haven't tried it at work yet.

  Just played it, and it looked as if many secondary positions were in use, e.g. the front pins at OAK#2 and OAK#3.

  Not sure about the/all pin positions, but this is a brand new CTTH set-up - I received a best score (white background) at each hole, even when I missed the green.

  Add, in the CC tournament set-up, there are three OAK CTTHs now, 2x front and 1x back.

  All 9 shots are different. Some use the first set of pins and some use the second set. And all are from different spots from the fairway,rough or bunkers. Most seem to be easier. # 9 is certainly much easier.

  I've never seen any of the hole positions that are at Oakmont CTTH now. Maybe, in almost 3 years, I've just missed this set-up, but all my shots were highlighted white as I played.

  There are indeed new challenges. I now have started 3 different country club tournaments with all 3 available Oakmont CTTH options. The challenges in the Virtual US Opem are different than the two sets we had before.
