    Hi gents,

I know a lot of these threads have been done already, and I have read a lot of them, but still would like to get your opinion.

I am currently playing at level 55 and about to advance from Tour Pro to Master.

I have been playing the Ping Raptures for a long time, and just replaced the driver with the L55 TM M1 (should maybe have waited for the L58 Ping driver, but this was brilliant), and still have my old TM Z said wedges.

I'd like to possibly upgrade my clubs set if it makes sense - it has to be an improvement over the Raptures. I have been looking at the L54 TM speedblades but also at the L59 Ping G25s. I'd like to keep the meter speed resonable.

Are there any other irons you'd consider worth waiting for and a better set, and would you prefer the ping G25 to the Speedblades ? Trajectory and forgiveness seems to be the difference between the two, but I can't figure out which is better. And are my wedges the right match for the rest, you think ?

    Any thoughts are very welcome.

    Thanks,

    Henrik

Hold on for the high trajectory irons, they're a real game changer.

Thanks. Which would those be if the meter speed should be reasonable ? The Ping l59 G25s are high trajectory, at least in the description...

L59 Ping irons were a game changer for me, huge immediate improvement in my game and I used them all the way to Legend, for 30 levels or so. Great investment.

Yup, the level 59 Pings, it's a no brainer.

    HenrikGF:
still have my old TM Z said wedges.

Keep them, as well as your putter, until ev'thing else is settled.

New putter - perhaps - from L70 up, best wedges from L79 up.

    Thanks for the input.

    It's a bit of a jungle.

I very much also wonder how much the meter speed really means. The pings are 4 and many other great irons are 3.5.

Spoke to a legend player to basically said to hold out to the L85 Vapors, not look a meter speed at all but focus on spin instead. He said that dings weren't necessary for precision, which i find a bit difficult to understand.

The pings only have 2.5 in forgiveness, which i worry is to little. If the clubs are only any good when dinged, that would be an issue :-)

The ping g 59's are very good, 2.5 forgiveness is not great , but the slow meter makes it easy to be very close to the ding, nothing really better until lvl 75.

The 85 nikes are 220.00 xps away so that is 4 months away if you play 3 games a day.

I don't think you would regret getting the 59 lvl irons.

Thanks Siggi, that puts it a bit into perspective....

As I see the specs it will also be an upgrade over my current irons.

Is the consensus also to go with the pings over the level 54 speedblades ?

yes medium trajectory is not good enough.
