  Also, I know you're doing a random generator for the pairing, but might I suggest you make groups up from similar time zones?

  maybe those zones with 3-5 hours difference?

   

  At least until it's not practical.

   

  2ndly, I wonder about Champs playing TLs..I understand the HC with low average Champ and 60+ ave TL, but if both TL and Champ have 56 avg, is there still a HC?

  thx for the input but its going well so far

  il keep the random generator,im sure we can all find a suitable time.im playing my opponent , we are 8 hrs apart but we have found a time when it is good for us both,

  i dont want to start matching  players on time zones,thats the beauty of random pairings,

  as to the HC ,it would be a nightmare for me to work out averages and pair players up,thats why ive made it like this,

  lets go with the flow on this one and see where it goes,im learning all the time lol

  i would love to have a handicap matchplay league with maybe a premier and different divisions but its early days.

  im happy with all players involvement and 55 games have been played so far

  Paul, you have done great here mate. Not easy organising all this, and yes, we could all look for things to change but its been a success mate.

  I know me and my oppos past and present (in all inter cc formats) have had a few timezone issues but we got round them.

  Sure Baggs agrees just poss throwing one or two out there in case you can find 25 hrs in your day lol

  You gotta feel for us poor Aussies,

  We are always at least 8 to 18 hrs in front of the world

  The worst part is the current messaging fiasco, I have players on my friend list and just cant send a message, all I get is Add As A FRiend,

  Geez we been Friends for months.

  I understand why you say that, but with the relatively long time frame to play the matches, it is usually possible.

  My time zone sucks, but weekends I can usually play with anyone from any time zone....weekdays no.

  As for handicaps/tiers/averages.......there is no ideal system.  The downside is averages mean little and usually just means saturation, but at least it is an effort to level things up.

  At the end of the day, with hindsight maybe improvements can be made, but from my eyes, it has been a great comp!

  I wasn't asking or suggesting change to your HC's, just clarification...

   

  I/e do all (I think) 55 avg Champ's give holes to TL's?

  All TLs get a hole from Champions. If you're a 55 average Champion you get to give up 2 holes. :-)

  Hi Woody, I sent you a private message to schedule our match.  I believe we have until 4/30. 

  The conditions are on page 23.  It is Bethpage 18 holes on scored conditions and you have to concede 4, 13 and 15. 

  I believe the timer is 90 seconds and we have to agree about the concede distance beforehand.
