John, the macromedia cookies will come right back up within seconds of deleting them. And yes, delete the entire flash folder (or you can delete the 3 things you mentioned separately).
The Better Privacy add-on is the only thing I've found that will automatically remove the macromedia (.sol and super-cookies) at set intervals.
The Flash folder will stay gone until you open another tab, change pages, or close/open the browser.
To give everyone an idea of what is actually in that macromedia folder (the shared object, .sol cookies, etc) you can go to file history, and type .sol. The flash and wgt cookies will blow your mind. TONS of them. Not that wgt cookies/cache are bad, but any cookie/file/cache that you have to manually remove is not good.
The EU has made it illegal (banned) for Flash or any program to use these types of cookies.
If you'll notice on the second video, the macromedia pops up, goes away, comes back, goes away. It's a constant. It's too bad other browsers don't have the Better Privacy add-on.
But, just because these steps work for me (and my pc's) doesn't mean they will work, or help, everyone.
I am OCD about a super clean computer. So I am constantly cleaning and scanning.
Paulton has a good post in this thread about maxthon. Use the older version and older flash versions. It's not a good idea, security-wise, but the people I know who use Maxthon swear by the older versions and older flash version combo.
I tried it, and just didn't like it. It played very well, but wasn't for me.
The blue screens, timeouts (loading), backwards and disappearing avatars have nothing to do with our pc's. That's some bug on WGT's end.
