I am just curious as Champion is but a distant dream !! Since I turned Tour Legend I am wondering how many ranked rounds you need to hit to " saturate ", I was expecting my average to go up when I moved up and was not that bothered to be honest. But it would be nice to know when a bad round will not nudge it up more

I have read many posts about this, but there seems to be no definitive answer. 200 rounds seems to be the most commonly quoted figure, but I have seen as many as 700 and even only 100. So is there a true figure somewhere.

The number is 200. You need to get to 59 to get to champ.

I thought 500 was the TL saturation # and 200 was the Champion #.

Of course there is no official number (just to disencourage TL sandbaggers ;) ) and I'm like to have more confirmations, but my best guess from players' reports here is 200.

That was also the minimum number required by seasoned TLs when the new tiers were introduced (this one WAS confirmed by a mod). At that time I thought that the general number would be 200 added to the former number but that seems false. The smaller number has not been in discussion here.

    Hi Rich

There was some confusion when the new tiers were announced - those who were already TLs had their best 200 rounds removed and had to play another 200 to saturate again (hence the 700 figure).

Players who got to TL after the changes just had to play 200 rounds to saturation - that was the easy part - getting the average down to 59 was a whole other ball game.

Sadly, it's 200 for both tiers. Still 500 for legends though. This might have been one of the dumbest moves ever, as tiers are concerned. Talking about giving mediocre TL's a chance and then doing that, was beyond belief. So now the legend tier becomes an even more favourite playing ground for "resurrected" players.

Thanks Bill !!! I have more chance of hitting the ding than getting to 59 !!

Anyway I had a target of getting to Tour Legend many moons ago. Took me nearly 2 yrs to get there, I know a long time compared to some, but I had loads of fun on the way, now I'm at Tour Legend I shall get to saturation and have fun again !

Champion ...... well unlikely to happen, I feel I may have hit my talent barrier now so I'll enjoy myself

Well... I wish it was 200 but I've played over 400 and my average is still popping up and down....  Looks to me  '500' is the magic number, so hopefully I havent too much longer. Maybe wgt  changed it because this last post is 2016. Seems to be the most recent.

Actually, from one report, the saturation looks to be 750.

As Don noted, it changed in December when WGT opened up the Tour Champion tier.
