    1. Ability to disable friends list.

This will help with meter issues by not having constant communication between cpu and server for updates.

    2. Ability to disable chat completely.

This will basically only help with meter issues since you can already minimize it to ignore people.

    3. Ability to disable invites.

This will not only help with meter issues but also give you an option of not receiving invites if you wish to play alone and don't want to be bothered (ie: during a tournament round for example).

    4. Get rid of the fade in and out features of changing holes or players shots.

Having this is more of an aesthetic feature and only creates more images each players cpu has to render. Just load from one screen directly to another.

    5. Ability to disable sound completely.

This kind of goes along with the previous one in that any extra sound file the cpu has to load can slow things down and cause disruption.

    6. Change the way the brand of the club is shown in the bottom left of the game screen.

I've noticed that during game-play right above the club selection it first shows the model of the club then fades out and in to the brand of the club. I've noticed that if i pull bag the meter before this change occurs that i can have stutters during the release, but if i wait till its done loading the brand then there's no stutter. Just change it so that you somehow show both at the same time without the fades.

    7. Ability to customize the Getting Started, FAQs, My Discussions, and Active Threads Lists.

By this I mean either have a way to disable them from appearing or having some sort of minimizing feature to take them down to just the title rows and drop them down as wanted. This could help with navigation having less things to load on the screen at a time, but its more just an aesthetic thing.

    8. Comprise some sort of actual Forum Moderation Team.

This would be a group of individuals that either work for or work on behalf of WGT that can go through and sort threads to their proper locations, or delete threads that are out of hand or break the TOS. Basically people that just keep the forums clean. I know I see WGTIcon around trying to keep up with this, but things can get out of control fast with just 1 person on the job.

    9. Update some of the FAQs

I'm not sure how things used to be but certain things in the FAQs arent how things are currently (ie: the upcoming product releases, player suggestion list, even one of the tutorial videos shows a feature in which it shows what lie of fairway your in % wise.. and I've never seen that actually come up).

    10. This spot reserved for all obvious suggestions

This would include things such as ability to break apart and choose irons, more avatars, better system for helping with sandbagging, more courses, different game modes.. etc.. all the things I see 100 posts for in the forums repeatedly, but will take a huge amount of time and effort to do.

Great stuff Nick. Perhaps Icon can get them added to the next roadmap.

    10. Stop the caddy from suggesting shot type

I have seen so many newbies trying to chip far to far away from the green because they assume the game is giving them a good advice. They take the advice and 3-chip onto the green, the last one sending the ball over to the other side since they hit a little harder each time, wondering why the ball wont fly.

The caddy can give you a default club but nothing more, default should always be 'full'.

    NickN85:

The model/brand change happens once whenever we change the club or the shot.  Changing the club or shot also changes the avatar's stance in most cases which means the game client has to load and display a whole new avatar and club.  This action (changing clubs or shot type) uses up to 50% of the power of one of my cores for 4 to 6 seconds as shown here in this thread. Either we continue to wait for the CPU to settle down after changing clubs or WGT could try to optimize that frequently used sequence.

Improving the virtual caddy so it gives us the right club/shot type in the first place would also help.

i agree  friend alerts and game invites should be completely disabled in the game client once the match has started. and it would be a idea for the chat window to only flash when it isn't your turn.

Nick, I believe 4 and 5 can be done under menu-game settings or menu-options if playing.

    plim:
game invites should be completely disabled in the game client once the match has started.

Once you start a game your status should be 'Busy', and no one should then be able to send you a game invite.  If you are getting a game invite then I'd say it's because the status thing isn't working right... as I brought up a couple of weeks ago.
