A driving range mode would be really nice. You could work on getting used to the swing meter (especially when you buy a new club.).  A practice putting green would be a great place to practice putts, chips, and pitches. It would make the game so much more fun.

This is my first time on the forums, so i'm sorry if i posted this wrong.

Here are a few options until that happens.

Play practice games...You can simply play rounds or hit the ball OB intentionally...that will get you back to the same place for another shot until you reach the stroke limit.  Be sure to be in practice mode and remember, this works for free balls, premium balls will be lost if you hit them OB...even in practice rounds.

To practice your putting, just putt to a target instead of trying to make the putt...you'll be able to putt until you reach the max strokes for that hole.

A plus is you will earn points for every stroke you take, a bonus if you compete the round, and this works for the consecutive days played bonus if you finish the round.

Thats a great tip Joeyola, but i'm sure you agree, that it would be an awesome feature that would enhance the game.

I fully agree with a driving range and with a putting green. this would benefit everyone before entering any game.

Yes I agree.  There has been talk about a practice facility here, but I've been hearing that since I joined back in May of 09.

Speaking of practice...there's a EZ Swing Driver in the Pro Shop with FREE rental (free at least for now).  Its only rated at 225 yards but the meter actually hits itself (auto hits the ding).  I rented it for fun and then got a survey from WGT and they gave me 100 credits for doing the survey.  Not sure they are still doing the survey but the driver is interesting to see what might be coming down the road. For those at the beginner level who could use a driver like that, you can rent it, for FREE, over and over so try it out before WGT figures out they're not making money (wink).

WARNING:  The problem I had with the EZ was, although it hits itself, it does not have good precision...the free Starter balls had a tendency to scatter with full power swings.  I'm not sure its good for a new player because they will not learn to hit the meter, a skill we all need, at least for now, to advance.

Driving range of course. And/or better: choose a specific hole of a choosen course and play as many time as you like. Mulligan for each shot will make it a perfect training.
