I don't know who is the founder of this game or if that person is still involved with the game. I can't imagine that that person is still involved. I don't think that the founder of this game would allow what has happened to this game, happen, in the past two to three years. For one, there still has been nothing done about the "losing connection" problem. I am positive over 90% of the players in this game have experienced that problem and are still having the same problem today and have reported it. And now I have noticed that clubs do not hit the same nor do the balls react the same as they did in the past. Which means all the formulas used to judge distance and power of a shot are absolutely pointless and do not work anymore. Where are the new formulas? Of course there are not going be any new formulas. Sad!!! Your worst mistake is that you don't think the players can see or tell the difference. Well that is insulting the intelligence of all the players of the game. I do not know how many friends are on my friends list but I have noticed that most of them haven't played this game in over two years. I assume that everybody has a long list of friends and if their list is anything like mine, then you have lost over half the player base in the last two to three years.

You took away what every gamer has ever wanted, a game that would allow the player to decide the outcome. This game, at one time, was that type of game and it was very enjoyable to play. It was so much fun, that when I signed up, I played over 180 days straight. Never missed a day and couldn't wait to get home from work to play. Well, after playing the last two days and seeing what has happened to the game and what it has to offer today, I can honestly tell you that I will never play this game again.

I don't know who makes the decisions to make the changes in the game but obviously those decisions are not good ones at all. It's too late for me but someone should step up and do something about this. For the future of the game and future players. Because this game gets worse month by month and no one in the WGT office seems to care about it one bit. The players are the ones that pay the bills to keep this game running. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, that if you are losing players, then changes need to be made to get those players back and not to mess with game values to try to get more money out the players that are still there, to make up for the players lost.

Wgt might be the #1 online golf game in graphics design but when it comes to game play....forget about it!! You ruined it!!

This is only some of what I have to say about the game and how it has declined over the past few years. Aren't these types of games supposed to get better with age? I see this happening to other games as well. These games are designed to make the player spend more money to play and advance in the game. And of course that is where the Terms and Conditions comes into play. I wonder how many people would play if they actually sat down and read the T & C's. And actually understood everything they were reading.

Anyway, that's all for me for now. I will be writing a review that will be more complex and detailed than this post, for everyone to read, not just the ones in this forum.

So, so long WGT and good luck. I'm afraid you are going to need it!

Whilst you have some points that are valid, the game and clubs play pretty much the same as it always has.

To be brutally honest, your issues with the game play is because you never actually learnt how to play, which is evident from your history and your stats.

Yes there are connection issues and the WGT "ideas team" is so lacking in creativity it is a joke..........but as I said, they game play is pretty good, but that is coming from a golfer, not a gamer. I find gamers do not have the patience to learn the intricacies, as they are used to clocking a game in days, not the years it takes here.

The game is designed to make money, after all it is a business not a charity.

I would not waste your time writing a longer review, as to review something, you really need the knowledge to back yourself up......that is missing.

Have fun in the next game you find......cartoon golf may suit your level better.

And, how would it be detailled and accurate after this announcement?

...more complex and detailed...for everyone to read?

You haven't said one thing in this lengthy diatribe that hasn't been noted in a hundred different threads...and far more succinctly.

For us old guys Colin, could you please use the quote box like everyone else does?  2 reasons:

    1.  If we quote your post, someone else's words will be under your name, then we have to fix it.
    2. We have to visually search out that text to find out who wrote it.  Its easier to find a name on a post.

    Thank you,

    Andy

Valid point Andy...it's been mentioned to me before and I have been working on it. I slipped up, but have since amended my post.

I was referring to the OP...JJR69
