I've thought this would come in handy several times since I started playing about a week ago.  I notice that there's a restart option in a CTTH game, and on unlimited play CTTH tourneys (don't know about one play only tho).  Is there a reason that this can't be implemented for stroke play as well?  If its an unlimited play tournament, there's no difference, except for less time needed, between having a simple restart option, and going back to the main menu and selecting the tournament again.

Probably because it's tantamount to quitting...even if what you are suggesting makes perfect sense.  And so you know, the "Q" word is frowned upon in this establishment...especially in stroke play where it considered offensive, unmentionable, unacceptable, unthinkable, distasteful, off-limits, proscribed, out of bounds, forbidden, banned, prohibited, barred...oops my thesaurus ran out of words

LOL Joey, I'll see your 12 synonyms and raise you 8...

    Unlimited...

countless, endless, illimitable, immeasurable, incalculable, indefinite, infinite, interminable, limitless, measureless, no end of, no end to, numberless, unbounded, unconditional, unconfined, unfettered, unrestrained, unrestricted, wide open

Seriously now, Q is all about multi-player, restarting is more like cherry-picking your rounds.  But it is within the rules and some of the elites of this game have posted along the lines...'I'll restart if I don't birdie the first "N" holes"  no point in continuing knowing you need to shoot 27 to get a top 5.  See it as time management.

Adding a restart to unlimited stroke play tournaments is a time saver, players do it anyway.

Players could be hitting shots instead of going back to the main menu and clicking on the tournaments.  More shots/visit = more balls used = more credits spent to WGT.

Sounds like a win-win with WGT and the players.

Yeah, I'm definitely not advocating it for multiplayer.  Although it hasn't happened to me (probably because I've only played 3 multi games), I have seen this complaint often enough during my short stay here on the forums.

    I agree!

I suspect the real reason there's no RESTART is profitability.  If a RESTART feature got us to play and spend more...I also suspect we'd have that feature.  As much as I enjoy this place, its addicting and I can't/won't play until my fingers bleed.  So I try not to waste time, and money, in games I've blown.  Lets face it, balls are expensive, they wear out, and I'd like to have a life away from here (wink).
