    Up until last Friday I had a nice smooth meter and no real problems with WGT except at times my poor hand/eye coordination !

    I updated Windows 10 2 weeks ago and all was good with WGT, however I updated Maxthon 4.4 to Maxthon 4.9 and now my meter is terrible, all jerky and choppy. Very difficult to even get near the ding !! Added to this suddenly my spacebar is not working in chat box !!

    I have noticed that the flash version for Maxthon is 15.0.0.189 which is an old version.

    I clear all my caches etc regularly so I think I can discount that from the woes !

    Yes, I know I should have left Maxthon where it was, but we all fall for the update line sometimes.

    So, please what can I do to get my meter and my previous enjoyable WGT experience back.

    My computer guy is coming tomorrow, to do some stuff on my wifes computer, so maybe he can help me implement some of your suggestions, as I am not a brilliant computer guy !

    If you have System Restore turned on, you could try going back to before you did the Maxthon update.

    Hi Rich - when I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10, I switched to Firefox - no problems so far and meter is mostly nice and smooth.

    Hi Bill, I may have to try Firefox, but it is difficult to get the playscreen to any sensible size. I have tinkered with the screen resolution, but still not anywhere like Maxthon is.

    Did a system restore, that took Maxthon back to 4.4, but when I tried to open it, it would not open at all, just white screen. Have no idea why ??  So have had to reinstall this 4.9 version. I have google searched how to install a newer version, but it is beyond my limited computer skills, maybe my tame computer guy can, because this is nearly unplayable now 

    Been spending time doing chores instead of golf !! Just not right, my wife is a happy bunny !!

    Try an older maxthon version, worth a try Rich.

    Perhaps uninstalling Maxthon 4.9 before the System Restore may have restored the 4.4 ... to late now.

    Hope you can get it sorted and your wife gets back to her normal self ;-)

    Thanks Paul, I think it is just about sorted now, I've hit the ding more often this evening than I have in nearly a week !

    Taken it back to Maxthon 4.4 with the newest Flash version, seems ok. I have the link to Flash now also to change that if I want, but I think I will leave alone now !!

    Maxthon 4.9 appears to have changed one of its rendering engines from Webkit to Blink. So if you have updated to 4.9 and it seems different, that might be why.

    If you go to the top of the page and click on the lightning bolt you can change the browser to Retro Mode for a smoother meter . You can also change the settings from the menu where it says switch browser core . Its what I did and it plays great .

    Also remember that Maxthon comes with flash attached so unless you can do a manual change it will update flash when they want it to . Hope this helps .
