Make a downloadable/installable client

  Ever considered making WGT a downloadable/installable client?

  As everyone knows all browser based flash games are hackable, so cheating is always possible. You could protect the game, just like the poker sites - they all have clients. Aniway it is very hard to make a reliable game (and the meter stutter shows it) inside a browser. 

  Having a client you could do much more to protect the game from being hacked and do much more to improve resource usage, and thus the meter stutter - the bigges and worst bug this game has been having for a long time...

  This is a great game and it could be better this way.

  A downloadable/installable client would still be hackable IMO. Reverse engineering of binary executables can be found broadly. But I'm for that option for a few other reasons:

  • To save bandwith/speed up scenes loading, especially in group play.
  • The ability to practice offline when there's no Internet
  • A more stable performance
  • No more blame-it-on-the-browser's-cache

  That way, WGT could save on their pipe cost and push only the views that have been updated since the last download, etc.

  LMAO...classic.

  Perhaps Canada is like China and North Korea where the government has an "internet off switch".

  There are tools for online games that prevent hacked games and cheats, like punkbuster and such, so the game at least becomes very hard to hack.

  Browser based games can be hacked/cheated in minutes by novices...
